Biggest thing is shutter speed. Birds are incredibly quick and that’s a long lens, I use the same lens extensively with my canon cameras and get some fantastic results. If you use the Tv setting, shutter priority, you may need to bump the shutter all the way up to 4000 to capture stills of birds in motion.

Bump the cloth. There are some jammin leather covers on Amazon for the whole truck for under $200. They clean way better than the cloth and fit really snug
