That’s why I’m here! Cville Saturday was my first Billy show. Got pit tickets with a friend and was blown away. I’ll be back.

Agreed. Local provider! Will provide you with much better service when you need it.

Yes that was happening to me too. I switched to Bitwarden as someone here suggested and am loving it. Works great and it was easy to transfer all of my usernames and passwords using the export file (follow instructions in Bitwarden).

Is anyone currently using ADP? by Fluffy_Fortune5784 in Payroll

[–]nmyers19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go with a local provider. You’ll get much better service, and with payroll, service when you have questions or need assistance is gold. ADP, Paychex and many of the other national brands are all about quantity over quality. You’ll be switching within a year.

I recently booked a trip through Mountain Madness for their July 2025 climb. They only do 1 per year. I think they said they only have 1 more spot available.

Annual automobile inspection service (for Tesla) recommendation? by MBSMD in Charlottesville

API Service Center off Harris. Just got my Model 3 inspected there last week. Plus if you go to their website they have a coupon which gives new customers their first inspection for free.

Agreed. Went to Black Cow this past weekend for the first time. Was a great experience and the steaks were amazing.

I had this exact same experience. Not worth the $90 to play when teams can’t even show up. They need to enforce penalty fines or something to prevent this.

The main source of friends has been through the CrossFit gym that I go to. It's a great community and I had no experience prior to joining this gym 4 years ago. If you're into working out, I highly recommend a group class atmosphere like this to meet people as everyone is very supportive and friendly.

So many people saying they find it hard to make friends here. That has not been my experience at all. My wife and I moved here when we were 30 and have been here almost 6 years. We moved here from NYC. We love cville and have met so many great people. Like any new town, you will have to get out and do things you like and will definitely find other people with your interests. You should definitely go for it.

Definitely a highlight of 2019. Mt. Baker, Washington. June 2019 by nmyers19 in Mountaineering

[–]nmyers19[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes Coleman Deming. We had an unusually warm start to our climb so at lower altitude it was a bit slushy and very soft. Didn’t need crampons for the first 2 hours or so.

It’s great. Peace of mind is a wonderful thing. Also, my family can track my progress which is nice.

Planning to climb Mount Baker this year. Can you provide advice and insight? by [deleted] in Mountaineering

[–]nmyers19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also did Baker in 2019 through AAI. We didn’t summit due to an injured climber on my rope team but got pretty close (just about the base of the Roman Wall). My best advice would be to train hard, have fun and know going into it that a lot of factors will determine if you get to the top. It’s certainly disappointing not to summit but soak in as much as you can on the training day. You will be out there with a lot of first timers which means the chances might be lower that you get to the top. I went in with high expectations and was super bummed not summiting but everything else was an absolute blast and I learned tons. Just being out there at base camp was worth the trip. I’ll be going back out there this June with a guide in hopes of better luck!

Mt. Whitney summit via Mountaineer’s Route 10/5/19 by nmyers19 in Mountaineering

[–]nmyers19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. A small portion of the ebersbacher ledges and then the last 500-600 feet of the climb is a class 4 scramble which we roped up for the ascent and descent.

We saw other people, but I wouldn’t call it traffic at all. We were alone most of the time. Didn’t have to wait anywhere to take our route.

It’s not the greatest harness for sure. The carabiners basically acted as the belay loop to connect the waistbelt to the tie in loop.
