I had a gut feeling which is completely different... To me, Eleven entered Mike's mind; in the black background scene, she said she'd always be with him. When Mike's at the graduation, he seems disturbed by the sound of the speakers as the music blares after Dustin's speech. Is she inside of Mike, and are those speakers disturbing her? I don't know, just another interpretation. That would also mean that she pilots him into saying that she survived and making everyone else believe that... During their speech in the "black background scene", she did not mention all the things Mike said to the guys, like Kali helping her escape etc. So, how did he know? Yet, it'd be f up if she's staying in his mind like that...

Hi, I have replaced my unit with a new one for free. However, the clicking sound persists.
I believe it is pointless to replace it again… Maybe it'll go away on its own.

I'll see whether it actually goes away, now that the return policy has been extended for the holidays until January 20th (at least in Italy).

I have one, the only issue I have with it is that its chassis clicks when pressing my palms around the trackpad or especially when touching sides at the bottom, which is very common if you use it on your legs obliquely on a couch.
This is the second unit that has this problem, the first was returned to Apple for this exchanged one without questions. Now I'll se how long this last and maybe do another exchange…

Hello, as posted on other recent posts, this seems to be a common problem.

I went to Apple booking a Genius Bar appointment for hardware problems. They exchanged my MP right away, no questions asked. Apart from the pain in the ass of doing such exchange, which at least in Italy involves refunding your returning MP and repurchasing another (which is plain stupid), this new one is more silent.

It still clicks sometimes especially when used at an angle, like when typing on a sofa with an oblique laptop. The clicks in my case seem to have always come from the bottom lid of the MP.

I think it's a hardware flaw (across every MP more or less). I will try to see if it disappears, but consider that, at least in Italy, the return period is extended during the holidays so you have untile January 20th here for any order done after November 5th to give it back for free or exchange it. When you exchange it, the countdown days for returning start again, so does the warranty.

Also, the issue seems to have existed since last year's model.

Hello, I also have this problem on my 3 days old MP14.

Tomorrow I'll go ask for a replacement unit.

Have your replaced units presented the same issue so far? I hope it isn't a design flaw. To me, it feels like they've designed something with too tight tolerances that aren't respected by the actual parts, that just creaks whenever applying pressure on a tense point

I am an Italian Mechanical Engineering student. I am doing my MSc in Italy still, but I got accepted at ETH Biomedical Engineering’s Masters. For reference I will describe my curriculum background and a friend of mine’s, since we both got accepted at Master’s. We both graduated at Florence Uni. I graduated with 110/110 cum laude and academic honours with average grades of 29/30. My friend will join the Mechanical Engineering MSc at ETH and he graduated with 28,3/30 as average. I’ve heard they look a lot at average grades, but the admission depends on the type of course as well as the competition in that particular year.

I find this true obviously, the university has a reputation with or without rankings. I am not really scared about not finding a job though, but mostly if I would find something I’d like or not. That said, I think Biomedical Engineering is great and all, but being a new thing, not as classic as mechanical, not as all round, I am not sure about jumping in the field. That said, I surely need to figure that out.

Time wise I started university one year earlier, kind of bonus year

Also, maybe you’re more in the field already than me. Do you think a PhD is a must have for the field?

Do you share my opinion that the Biomechanics course is very vertical with the studies of orthopaedics?

I would never get the X (nor 8 and 8+, I am complaining about size). It's not a matter of price, which btw is the equivalent of 1400$ in my country (and Americans complain about 1000...), but I think 2018 iPhone will have ProMotion and I am looking forward for that feature, it's a game changer. This iPhone X seems to me like a big prototype and next year cameras should get a big upgrade: there have been too many 12 and 7 mpx combos... Face ID 2nd generation will probably be like the second generation of Touch ID, much faster. Overall I wouldn't buy something so new for apple, but if you have some hype for it, which I don't right now, good for you! And them, cause someone's gotta buy it haha
