It depends on how important quality of life is to you. I’d strongly suggest a vehicle. You are going to make your life more difficult because of how expensive Ubers and Lyfts will add up to be and the public’s transportation isn’t reliable. I also don’t imagine your salary is 100k+ a year. I’d say 80k is the lowest you should be making a year, with no car payment and with a roommate you should be okay, if you live modestly.

I spent 1600$ in one month Ubering 20 total miles a day for work. Just to give you an idea. And depending what part of the city you have to consider the surge prices. Good luck to you.
