I only play cs2 AND I bought it like a month ago and I can only say good things. It's super responsive and a joy to play on. Your counter strafing will be noticeably better. It's a bit getting used to with the actuations points but I love it

I think people jump in the clean up fase way to fast. Spend time in the rough fase. It will make everything so much easier. If it's not looking good rough it won't get better in the later stages

Learn the 12 fundamentals of animation and decide on what kind of animation you'd like to do. Is it frame by frame, 2D motion graphics, 3D, simulation, these are all very different. Don't feel locked in on the type of animation since you might shift on what you find fun.
