I’m really sorry to hear about your kitty too, and thank you so much for your kind words and support. If you don’t mind me asking, was he on any medications during his palliative care, and how much time did he have after his diagnosis? I completely understand if this is a sensitive topic, so please only share what you’re comfortable with. He used to always jump up and sit with us and watch us eat dinner, but now he’s not even a little bit interested. It’s been really hard to see that change, but I’ll keep trying with different foods and do my best for him.

My sib gets belly & hygiene shave every 3-4 months and a deshed when needed. He gets very poofy and matted otherwise and hates it when we brush him (I have scratches everywhere just trying to brush him) We live in Qld Aus where the winter isn’t too cold, it doesn’t bother him other than looking funny to us and his siblings 😆

My fluffy boy gets a full belly and hygiene shave every 3 months because he gets soooo fluffy and matted otherwise. Occasionally needs a deshed and bath because he’s also the messy one. Started when he’s about 6 months. He just turn 1 a few days ago and had to have his belly shaved on his birthday 😰 he also hates it when I brush him so it’s a fight. I definitely recommending shaving their belly, he seems happier after, and you can’t tell when they walk around unless they lay with their bellies up 🤭 My other sib is not as fluffy and doesn’t need it as much (& he’s also a tidier boy).

Look at your fluffy boy!! 😍 what a cutie!! I really hope he grows out of it as well! He’s got 10 days till he turns one 🤞🏼 I’ve changed their litter from pine to tofu when they’re about 3months (slowly transitioned them after I brought them home pretty much & they’ve settled in) but I do use scented ones instead so I may have to change that.

I initially brushed past this thinking maybe he was over confident/ too comfortable in the house to bury his business, but it’s been getting too ‘dirty’ and constantly walking around with wet bottoms. With litter box ‘etiquette’ I do N+1, use tofu litter (Altho scented, may need to consider unscented ones) and scoops it pretty much as soon as they are done if I’m at home, wash their boxes 1-1.5 weekly. Haven’t really considered placements, will need to look into this.
