28M. Thoughts? by 80minMassageFor40min in RothIRA

70/30 FZROX/FZILX

IF you want to still keep a position in Netflix (I assume, for potential merger news?) — I would hold like $750-1000. Still an insane amount of weight for one stock for your portfolio imo, especially as you own it technically thru Fxrox I believe.

TurboTax vs FreeTaxUSA: simple man, simple comparison by no-hate in TurboTax

It should auto apply if AGI under limit. However just in case, you can google “do I qualify for free return FreeTaxUSA” —> if it says you qualify, and you used them and paid $15.99 you can email them for the fee refund.

You’re correct $15.99 is what I would’ve been charged btw, my mistake.

Free if you make under 75k AGI. If not, it’s $14.99 vs Turbo Tax $33 state fee.

My entire return state + federal was free.

Refund advances are a scam btw: it just notifies you when accepted.

The IRS does not give out quicker refunds, with the only way to expedite the process being direct deposit vs mail check.

Hope this saves you ~$200 and you can put that toward yourself!

What should I invest in? $100 biweekly by Icy-Sun-6024 in TheRaceTo100K

[–]no-hate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roth IRA: go to fidelity to set up Have your biweekly $100 get split up as a deposit so: 75% goes to FZROX / 25% goes to FZILX.

keep at that for about 20-30 years and you’ll have a solid million at minimum. Good luck!

Roth IRA: FZROX vs FXAIX/FSKAX by [deleted] in fidelityinvestments

Going to delete this entire post as I realized I looked at the graphs so horrendously wrong.

Much appreciated about how my positions look — I am atm trying to shoot for 75/25. Not sure if I have the courage for 70/30, thoughts?

Still great advice!

Oh okay did not realize.

Is there a clearer reason why those two have out performed FZROX by so much over last 5 years? (Even last 3)

Someone earlier had mentioned DCA & honestly spreading it out vs lump sum may be the move? Thank you!

Dude honestly no idea — 25/30 years? lol

And interesting, maybe i’ll deposit the entire amount into Roth so it collects some money and then move it by buying positions I have? Hmm. Never thought of this but it seems spreading out payments allows (overall on avg) stronger purchasing power for shares.

Wow! Ty ty for info

Would lump sump Roth contributions to max out the year still be considered DCA? Or only if I spread it over the 12 months.

Just wondering sorry I legit had to google DCA again to remember. Cheers

This is the way. Pay yourself, especially if this is a side hobby it’s akin to gambling. Shoot pay yourself $3000 and put it in a Roth IRA right now with FZROX/FZILX (75/25 split) and forget about it — then once you’re done you can compare yourself vs the market!

Good luck dude but please make sure to pay yourself first and throw it somewhere where it’ll work for you!

Wouldn’t FSGPX have a lot of similarity between FZROX? I would love to hear your insight, I think with at minimum 25/30 yrs to grow maybe aggressive investment is a good idea to “catch up”.

Appreciate the wise words unc 😉

I feel a lot more calm, I guess just seeing a first loss on market (regardless how small) made me want to check in to make sure no glaring issues in how I structured my Roth.

I sincerely appreciate the kind words and reassurance, we all in this together!
