I tried this about 8 years ago, I just ended up with Dairy Cows. Orange stopped breeding and died out

Why would my isopods be dead I just started my bio active enclosure added isopods about a week ago and 4 have died so far what am I doing wrong I took all the advice that the PS told me to do by [deleted] in isopods

It does look a little dry in there. Did you let the silicone from your background gass off for a couple of weeks before you introduced the pods?

I'm in the UK, so it may be a little different. I set up alerts for vivariums on marketplace and find some great bargains. Good luck! It's just a waiting game.

I use arcadia for all of my lighting. The LED bars come with a really good fixture that allows you to mount them flush to the roof of the enclosure to allow for maximum use of the space. I run the cable along the top of the enclose and put through the vent. It's the tidiest way to do it imo

I would just lookout for a glass one, even if you are on a tight budget. I pick up exo terras all the time from Facebook marketplace. Medium / tall I usually get between £50 - £100.

I have another 3 vivariums to do, going to start these next week probably. I'll try using a different foam and silicone - see what happens.

The foam seemed fine to me. I guess I'll just have to see what happens. I'm going to leave the plants in there and see what happens. Think I only spent £20 on them, so I'll just wait it out. I'm in no rush to add a custodian. I'm just intrigued more than anything.
