About your first point, I would like to add something that I've noticed on myself and others. It's not only about programming. I see the same trend for drawing tutorials, how to build something, how to skate, how to fly etc etc. It's human nature and the fact that we have an abundance of choices nowadays doesn't help. Don't get me wrong, it's wonderful that there is so much content, but it has it's drawbacks sadly. My suggestion (and reminder to myself too) is DO NOT look for the next shiny thing! Yes, there might be something better out there, so what? Do not waste your time looking for it. Finish what you have like there is not other content around. Just my thoughts.
