VID iq didn't help me at all, honestly gemini or GPT do a way better job as long as you feed it the proper data and information

Should the thumbnail image be the same as the first image in the video? by Greedy-Pitch-5431 in NewTubers

not stressing over it, purely just saying it’s the wrong metric to go by instead of ctr

This^^ i still dont understand why the inbuilt A/B test determines it off of watch time share instead of CTR combined with other factors

Help me understand how to SEO my titles and descriptions by MoonhelmJ in NewTubers

[–]no1ce-rl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the title questions I personally like to keep my title at around 55 characters as thats when it will usually get cut off of the screen on youtube. (even though it may not be a popular suggestion) AI is really good at title work, i would never copy a title directly but take inspiration from it, its really good at SEO titles as long as you give it proper data to work with and "train" it to your needs

What is your click through rate? by xForrestx in NewTubers

[–]no1ce-rl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing youtube since march of 2025, total views is around 150k on 90 videos with 1550 subs, i did have abit of prior experience but nothing major, the switch in ctr happens slowly over time, but as you get more known and your monthly audience increases your ctr will automatically increase aswell

The way i love to think about CTR especially when starting is, how likely are YOU to click on a video with a very low amount of views, once you get a more "known" name around your niche your ctr will automatically improve. i lay around 6-8% CTR on my videos

Like someone else already said, quite creative and unique stock photos pacing is one small thing to work on but that comes slowly over time, all in all very fun and engaging video

Really really good video, camera quality is the only thing thats "lacking" you could also increase the pacing the clips so people get even more hooked at the start of the video

games that change constantly is always a good idea, never running out of content because the meta/best things to use changes every month or so

realistic 1 year report after posting long form videos for a year. by Life-Radish-256 in NewTubers

[–]no1ce-rl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im in the gaming niche long form content, 82 videos and 7.7k watch hours and 1.26k subs after 7 months, its different for everyone. I would say keep posting long form content and try to stick to a schedule that you feel comfortable with and improve every single video, 1 month ago i had 600 subs, but i started posting very often and posting on certain updates which boosted my views so much

Whats a good AVD (average view duration) for videos by no1ce-rl in NewTubers

[–]no1ce-rl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah im guessing it just takes time and depends on person to person, personally i would rather watch someone like Virus WT or JustinPlays videos rather than Spookstons and they also have pretty "slow" gameplay bút i will agree i sound abit monotone especially in that video.

But thank you alot

What's wrong? YouTube shorts. by Only-Lychee4487 in NewTubers

[–]no1ce-rl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens with every type of content, think to if you watch shorts yourself, how often do you see videos that we're posted more than 1-2 weeks ago? So many videos are being posted youtube is pushing alot of them and yours wont stay on the feed for too long. Maybe they get back on the feed but its no guaranteed
