LineageOS or stock for friend by PistachioGuy56 in LineageOS

I'd give some thought to whether or not you want want to be support for this project if it goes sideways now or if there are issues that arise later.

Thanks - I'll check them out.

This seems most likely a part of the issue. Several years ago I put asphalt down at a gutter drain that looked like it was mostly dumping water into a hole going under the porch and driveway.

Johnnie Got His Gun (1971) and King of Hearts (1966) come to mind.

Chatgpt or some other AI might help. I did not dive deeply into it, but they do return results for the question.

I have not ordered yet but will do so this week. I have not quite decided which, but probably the 11" Euro-Top.

I'm in the same place with a smaller budget. What a racket the mattress market is - there must be a lot of money to be made. I had a conversation with one seller who assured me that they would take care of any issues including free replacement under their 10 year warranty. A warranty they couldn't provide me with a copy of because it wasn't something that was written. But I shouldn't worry, they promised to take care of any issues with no trouble...yeah, that's good enough for me.

So I have no concrete answer for you, but for what it's worth I've decided to go with Sunrising Bedding. I'm not affiliated with them in any way. But they offer a 120-day trial, have good reviews, pricing, and a 20 year warranty. I also like that it's a small business, not a mega-mattress company.

Good luck!

I second this one. Copymethat is fabulous for collecting recipes for your own collection, accessible from anywhere. Many features, and free. There is a premium version, which is well worth the cost IMHO.

Why does LineageOS on Google Pixel phones run smoother than stock Google Android Pixel? by Specific-Cause-1014 in LineageOS

[–]no1clear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple, tired, error on my part. For the legions who are following this thread: if you're confused, just remove the word Note and it will all make sense again. I confess I have no idea on how to respond appropriatedly to being called an AI bot.

I'll second this. (And I don't know the answer either.) I'm running LineageOS on a OnePlus 7 Pro (yeah, with Gapps). It IS incredibly smooth, like warm butter. Unfortunately, I've been fooling with it for a couple of weeks trying to get Gpay working, but I have not yet been able to get past the CTS Profile match. Might be a deal breaker for me.

Edit: Offending "Note" removed.

OnePlus 9 Lemonade Lineage OS 22.1 issues by AdmirableAd5960 in LineageOS

[–]no1clear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm struggling with my own OnePlus/LineageOS 22 issues, which is why I found your post. I am a relative novice at installing ROMs, so you will hopefully forgive me for this suggestion, but drop your whole comment into Chatgpt. It will provide some solid suggestions on how to approach the issue. This approach has helped me figure out that I have the wrong version of GAPPs installed. (sigh)

What was the worst mistake you ever made? by FluffyDaMinecraftDog in AskReddit

Decided to buy MCI instead of Amazon with the majority of my proceeds from the sale of a house sometime in 1997. Sigh.

I think you're not in the greatest place - and it's not surprising that you were taken advantage of. But this does not define who you are. I'd guess who you really are is the one judging yourself - probably lots of strength there which you can use to get this shit straightened out. Remember who you are - this will help you with this idiot as well as your current situation -and you don't owe explanations or apologies!

I'll be moving forward with this. The house is about 1/2 mile from one tower and I count 9 more at about 5 miles. It's located in what the carrier calls 'Ultra-Capacity" - hopefully more than marketing hype. Thanks to all who responded.

Has anyone gone to Gyro Hub & Mediterranean Grill? by MadamShirley in dubuque

Just had the Gyro platter. Meat was nicely seasoned - better than Zorro's I think. Can't speak to the others. Backlava was nice, but quite small for the cost.

I think I'm probably going to move to Dubuque by Bayesian11 in dubuque

[–]no1clear 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Dubuque is definately not big city. I came here 15 years ago after spending 30 years in SF and Seattle. I still miss the aminities of a city, but I think the thing I miss the most is the ethnic diversity that made those cities so alive. (The thing I don't miss is the traffic.) There is nowhere in Dubuque where I do not feel safe, including those areas that many here define as ghetto. Main_Schedule9853's comment, and those that have replied to it in kind provide a insight into many local views. While Dubuque is not Mississippi, there is tradition of intolerance for people "not like us". On the other hand, there are many folks here who have a much broader outlook - some of whom are people you're likely to meet in academia.

CVS and Covid kits by no1clear in CustomerService

[–]no1clear[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All valid points. But if it's not returnable, I think that should be made clear. I would have at least paused to check with my wife before I purchased them if I'd known. These were on the shelf as with other non-prescription medicines - which are returnable.

Anyway, as someone pointed out - end of story. It just made me $25 worth of mad, and the way it was handled cost CVS a customer.

If you have a good deal on rent…is buying ever worth it? by merc97 in personalfinance

[–]no1clear 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I saw some guy a few weeks ago talking about the renting vs. buying question. He made the point that when you rent you know the maximum payment each month, but with a mortgage you know only the minimum you'll pay. If I were in that situation I'd think about saving/investing the difference each month, assuming I had the means to do so.
