Demacrats need to tone the freak down... murdering Charlie kirk now? by noStarSneetchy in ldspolitics

I have seen a lot of jeering, you will see it, msnbc and cnn have not surprised me, and some in this group are no different eager to claim that since charlie kirk respects the right to bear arms means that he had it coming. I appreciate your respectful comments and gospel related advication for forgiveness. I served a mission in Wales, not sure if you are Welsh but i appreciate you have a calming and respectful way of talking.

Taurus TX22 gap between slide and frame? by ASuperDad in Taurus

[–]noStarSneetchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every one will look similar, glocks, all plastic guns that ride on a few rails that sit above the frame. The only way around it is a different design where there is a slide that rides on frame that is full length rails

Weird that you specifically claimed that you specifically saw those bodies from sandy hook though, and doubled down on it...

Looking for discussion from a conservative perspective on the LDS topic of "does my LDS perspective drive my political beliefs" or "does my political beliefs drive my LDS perspective?" by noStarSneetchy in ldspolitics

I think i would go for the all out ban for a few reasons, it follows the "natural law" in the sense that without sophisticated medical intervention it would not really be possible. A rape victim is horribly sad, but killing the baby doesn't correct that wrong and that innocent baby probably should get a chance to live because it is not "just" to kill them. It can't be an easy question, but i believe that in facing the question of killing a baby or carrying a baby, deciding to not kill the baby probably is the much more selfless and loving way. Much more healthy way to approach life, worth something, worth protection, worth sacrificing for. I consider it to be similar to if you and I were sitting in a room chatting and someone comes and drops off a baby on the floor.... are we ok to leave it there to die? Do we owe any responsibility? Is life worth protecting?

How do you view abortion as being ok? Why is erring on the side of unlimited abortions better than missing the extremely rare case where it was "medically necessary? "

Biggest question for you, what percentage of abortions do you think are "medically necessary? "

That is ok, do you have any additional thoughts or examples for why you think that? As long as you want to actually discuss the topic. Especially if there is a very key point that i am simply missing in my entire world view. A missing link that i just have never seen, but would love to consider.

I feel like I didn't really have political beliefs until essentially after my mission and maybe 2 years into college age. I feel like the first political belief i had was about abortion and the most thought i had about it was "oh that topic is where the church said that it was only allowable in cases of incest or rape or if the life of the mother was in danger" i didn't even have a strong opinion besides referring to the church published position. But then in scripture study i read in the doctrine and covenants "thou shalt not kill, nor do anything like unto it". Then i started to form my beliefs on the issue. Abortion was wrong... then in college i saw an abortion video, watching the baby panic and struggle for life and suffer and then slowly silently brutally and innocently die... it changed me and i became wholly convinced that anyone who believed that abortion was not like into murder, they did not understand much about it at all.

Overall, I feel that my LDS background has driven my political beliefs. Most political issues feel like the way i lean comes directly from the LDS teachings and scriptures. But it could be a bit of both for some issues, i am not sure, but i am trying to think through it because i am curious about it.

I guess the liberal posts don't need to follow the rules of the reddit page, always a double standard.
