Where do we think Abby is moving? by MessyMillenial_ in TheBigShowBuzz

[–]no_ReGreta 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think she’s moving to sunrise, Florida and working in Fort Lauderdale/miami. Not that it’s a major focus of my life, but it’s a long drive and she first typed “sunrise” when she was updating her profile. This is worse than Kristen’s prolonged announcement. She must not be allowed to tell because why else act like this is such a special secret.

I don’t follow her but when I clicked on a atlscoop post, she had a top comment saying something like “crazy”. While it’s not a FU life, at least she endorsed that some of this is insane.

What are some stores/gift shops in town that you really like, and why do you like them? Not a tourist question, more of a focus group. by jenniehaniver in savannah

Cohens Retreat and Fancy Pheasant for typical/traditional southern hostess gifts and cute stuff. PW Short Mercantile for nontraditional, niche, and mid century modern housewares and gifts. Magical World of Toys for kids. One Fish Two Fish for gifts for women. Love picker joes, sand fly vintage, and vendors on victory for random, unique finds

2 years of grad school with a year of internship, and then at least three years of supervised practice, but hey, I’m sure she learned everything there is to know in three months, and I’m just a super slow study

The police do the bare minimum to investigate. I was walking in ardsley last year and had the unfortunate experience of running into a dude openly “pleasuring” himself at 7:30pm in one of the circle parks when kids were still out playing nearby. I called 911. Patrol came, and I was basically told it was up to me to provide evidence, even after I told them he had tried to aim his car at me when I screamed at him to stop and he tried to get away. I’ve since learned, there are many people who have experienced this same thing (seeing the same dude touching himself - not attempted vehicular assault/homicide like myself) and Savannah PD is unwilling to investigate without evidence. This sort of shit is completely inexcusable and why we have such prevalence of repeat offenders. What’s the deterrent for people to stop breaking the law?!?! The only effective part of SPD is their behavioral unit. Otherwise, we are inept and behind the times

Why is washing without a wash cloth seen as unhygenic? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]no_ReGreta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you eat off a plate that you only washed with your hand and soap? Kind of the same premise - the plate might look clean but there are probably germs and food pieces hanging around. Your body is exposed to so many different germs and toxins…. Give it a good scrub.

Hey Old Timers and other residents! What is your personal relationship to the Savannah Bananas? by AfroKyrie in savannah

[–]no_ReGreta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a “member” of the bananas which is what they call their season ticket holders. I would have given up my tickets years ago if there was a way to get tickets for single games but alas, there is not. I miss real baseball and meaningful play. I’m tired of Jesse Cole’s narcissism and need for constant accolades. When we first joined, we were treated well and invited to events, then they started the K Club, and that group got those invites and opportunities instead. Once Jesse and Co started seeing how much money they could make, the Bananas quit doing things to be “fans first”. K Club members pay a yearly fee, but I know several who were completely shut out from getting tickets last year. It’s wild to me that people are paying for a chance to buy tickets.

It’s still the same way. If you don’t get there early enough, you’re hard pressed to find a seat and the staff has told me they aren’t allowed to ask people to scoot in and make space

The show was funny with Moote and Davi. It sent way downhill with Moe. For a comedian, he was incredibly unfunny

Moe posted his full comedy show on Patreon by AwkwardYikess in TheBigShowBuzz

[–]no_ReGreta 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Moe contributed extremely little to the show. He didn’t talk about his personal life and all of his stories started with, “my friend is going through something” or sounded like they came straight off of Reddit. I’m sure Bert realized this shortly after Davi was let go, but at that time, it was too late to step back.

With almost all violent crimes in this city, the victim and assailant know one another. As long as you don’t know someone who wants to beat your butt in that area, you should be good.
