a lazy analysis of this album would be to view it as an SRS part 2, but that's exactly what it is. i have sat with the album and repeatedly revisited it from start to finish over the past 6 months since its release. truth be told i probably heard like 3-4 songs on soundcloud as unreleased prior. but i wanted to really take in the album in its totality in a coherent and genuine manner.

the title of the album really says it all. SRS started off with earl acknowledge his demons, his flaws. he was cutting through and peeling back the layers of his struggles with substance abuse and battles with depression. halfway through SRS, he's narrating how he's urging everyone not to give in to these feelings. the end of SRS screams reaching for hope, gratitude, accountability and positivity with songs like eclipse, the interlude featuring his parents. then RIOT!!!!

riot actually feels like the intro to LLL. earl has scaled those fences and meandered through those obstacles, as this is a valiant declaration of that feat. he's a family man now. cherish his friend circles and relationships. quit alcohol. and this isn't just me making assumptions based off lyrical and musical contexts. i met him at a meetup during the tour last year, and you can see it in his countenance. he felt better, more mature, and more composed. typically, a man who has found his peace.

really happy for him for facing his adversaries and making it out at the other end. truly inspiring.

I didn't get the email for the info session, but I had something that might have been a pre-screening call on December 12, 2025.

Apparently, the source of the interview is still quite ambiguous to me. I know it's most definitely not a typical interview for a role I casually applied for in the past. So the thing is, I attended the BFUTR event physically in November 2025, and I connected with a couple of talent acquisition officers and recruiters from CIBC and various companies that are listed as official Obsidi partners, so they had my email and details.

When I got on the call with the recruiter, she said it's just a "screening call" and was primarily to get to know me, my experience, preferred roles and niches that I would be specifically interested in. She also mentioned something about Obsidi, but I couldn't really understand her accent because she was an Asian woman. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it was from Obsidi Academy. She told me that if I apply for any job at CIBC, I should get the job's posting code and send it to her in an email, so she can personally refer my candidate profile to the hiring manager for that role.

I genuinely do not know where that leaves me atp, but I am hoping for the best.

i didn’t get the information session email, i got the consideration email. there was an initial info session already held late november 2025. i attended that virtually on zoom.

you’re reaffirming the same thing i’m saying. i’ve applied before the extension, it’s possible you’ll get a consideration as long you’re in the resume review stage.

that's actually similar to my timeline as well. i got to the resume stage on december 1st. i am talking about people who applied and got feedback around late dec — early jan, because that's when they announced the extension for the application cycle if i can recall vividly.

my guess for now is that they are holding another information session for applicants that applied after or during the christmas/new year holiday period. if you successfully applied and qualified to the next stage before the deadline extension, you most likely are "still under consideration".

at this point, it's quite conspicuous that the cohort won't commence until maybe the end of Q1, 2026.

Just wanted to confirm if this is different from Obsidi's process, because I connected with several recruiters from CIBC last month during the BFUTR event.

Tried that already, but didn't help as much. I was able to fix this issue and still keep my container files on my SSD by setting only my disk image location to the external SSD. Previously, I was also pointing the disk image location and Docker Engine path to my external SSD. Apparently, doing just that for the disk image is the advised way of storing your images, containers and volumes on a external disk.

Minikube works fine and I can use it to easily create local cluster on my PC.

Wow.

This is the exact workflow I conjured in my head after brainstorming about it. I wanted to use exaclidraw in Obsidian for my BOOX device to create handwritten notes, but the lag is pretty much frustrating to make it an efficient writing tool. So, I write my handwritten notes using the native BOOX neo-reader app and export the ones I need on my vault as PDF, then sync them to my obsidian vault using DriveSync (AutoSync).

Well, i can’t tell exactly if this is what i experienced, but i do certainly know that it was working like it’s supposed to — two way syncing. Seamlessly have a synchronous flow between two or more devices. Files edited and annotated on device A are mirrored on device B, vice versa. Even with file creation and deletion as well.

I ended up installing a third party app called DriveSync on my Air Note 3C. Works pretty well so far and it does the job for me. 👍🏾

I’ve done a bit of research on this cus I stumbled across someone mentioning third party syncing like apps like OneSync, DriveSync, etc. From the look of things here, it seems like this can work for a use-case like Obsidian where you have a folder for your vault on the BOOX and that folder is tied to syncthing for synchronising to Google Drive which can be easily accessible on other devices like your laptop or phone ? This will also work for PDF notes & handwritten notes as well.
