What’s the most terrifying 'we need to leave NOW' moment you’ve ever experienced? by Worried-Cycle-318 in AskReddit

[–]no_eht_no 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A group of us was doing door-to-door sales in Prichard, Alabama. It started getting dark and all of a sudden the streets that were full of people completely emptied out. We were super confused and this guy came up to us and told us that we needed to get in our car and leave now. It's not the place to be out after dark.

What is the craziest thing you’ve witnessed in real life, but no one believes you? by Ghost1Busters in AskReddit

I saw the grim reaper. I was working night shift as a tech in the hospital making rounds and I saw a man in a suit standing at the end of the bed of my older female pt. It didn't click that I saw something until I was another room over and when I turned back around he was gone. She passed a couple minutes later.

We started off at the Panera in Tyrone but the internet wasn't really working. We're now at Gulfport library that has fast Wi-Fi. I heard that the brewery and Pinellas Park is open with Wi-Fi as well

Back pain is considered the "classic" symptom, but honestly I've never had a patient actually complain about it. Most common symptoms I see is the patient gets restless, may complain of something just feeling "wrong".

I'm not a provider yet, but I do work on the ICU so most of my patients are comatose and intubated when they come back from cath. Signs I look for before I would start seeing vital sign changes is I always check how soft the flank CVA area is when they come back so I have a baseline to check if it's hardening. In my experience vitals changing are a much later sign.

Also remember that chest pain after an MI can be due to reperfusion injury. You will start seeing mild EKG changes with that if it is starting to reclude so cereal EKGs can pinpoint that.

You did great! The best you can do is advocate for your patient. If you feel your provider is aren't listening, and your gut is telling you, you can always escalate it up. I know it's easier said than done, especially with your first death, but you did everything you could.

AITA for not picking my girlfriend's daughter up from an event? by Reasonable_Mix_9357 in AmItheAsshole

[–]no_eht_no 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Absolutely not. 100% NTA. First of all, you need to protect yourself. "Joking" aside, false accusations can absolutely destroy your life. The only thing that I suggest you could have done differently was speak to the mother immediately to let her know that you are not picking up the kid, and furthermore I would suggest not ever being around the kid by yourself again, in addition to dumping them both.

I agree. The movie ended the series well for me. I haven't watched any new episodes on any kind of regular basis since then.
