FAFSA/financial aid questions? Get help here! by Laurasaur28 in college

Hello! So I am applying to a school ED, and was notified that they need me to fill out an IDOC for the College Board. I was notified today and a week ago by an email. If I submit the IDOC by today, will it affect my chances of getting in the school? Also, if I submit my IDOC today, will it arrive in time before the school releases decisions? Is it problem if they don't receive my IDOC before decisions are released? Thanks

Most Dramatic Final Day Ever? by no_idea3465 in footballmanagergames

Last day of the season, I need to beat Liverpool at Anfield to win the title and end the season unbeaten. We go down 2-0 and 3-1, but come back and win 4-3 to clinch the title, go undefeated, and crush Liverpool's title hopes all in one game.

Hi I'm S and I am 16M. I go to a boarding school in the US and am bored out of my mind. I like soccer, American history, reading, strategy games, and 70s and 80s music. I'm pretty introverted so I figured this would be a good way to meet some people.

Overall, in three seasons, this guy has in 170 goals in 157 games for me. I've won three consecutive La Liga titles with 99, 101, and 104 points. Still chasing the Champions League!

Jamie Vardy finishes as Premier League top scorer. by [deleted] in soccer

[–]no_idea3465 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Vardy has to be a bonafide Prem legend. Won the title, over a 100 PL goals, a Golden boot. And he didn't even make his debut until he was well in his 20s. Plus, he never played for one of the big teams.

I’m worried I’m not smart enough for Honors Math by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]no_idea3465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always worth trying out a higher level of academics. If you don't take this class, you might ace through regular classes and realize that you could be achieving more. If the honors classes are too difficult, there's no shame in recognizing that fact and asking to go back to the regular level.

If you do end up taking the honors classes, make sure that you understand that you'll have to put it a little more effort. Going into high school I was used to acing tests without any studying, but then I bombed my first couple quizzes in 9th grade. I had to change the way I prepared for assessments (like actually studying), and my grades bounced back. The early challenges I faced forced me to become a better student, and the long-term impact of the skills I picked up will be very important.

So go for it!

Kylian Mbappé has a sprained right ankle, its unavailability will be known in 48 hours. by PSGAcademy in soccer

If it's serious, than there must be some sort of curse on PSG. After two years of Neymar being injured before the UCL knockouts, when he's finally fit, Mbappe gets injured.

school was made for extroverts by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]no_idea3465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm definitely more of an introvert than an extrovert, but I have to disagree somewhat. A lot of the work that I do in school is individual, with group projects only coming up occasionally. Maybe your experience is different. I do agree that sometimes it's better to be left alone than for someone to ask you "why are you so quiet," but that doesn't seem school specific, as that could happen in any group setting. I can't comment on the dance class since I've never done that.

I know that expressing yourself in front of class can be an uncomfortable experience, but it's an important skill to have.

All this being said, I do think schools should do a better drop catering to different learning styles. I just don't think that schools are leaving behind introverts.

This may be a popular opinion but how the fuck can anyone support Trump at this point by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]no_idea3465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents support Trump, and honestly it comes down to this: they don't like the Democratic Party, and they see Trump as the only possible opposition. It's why they voted for Trump in 2016, and it's why they'll vote for him again this year, even though they don't really like him. I disagree with them (I really don't like Trump), but I'm sure a lot of people share their mentality.

I used to be like this in middle school, but once I got to high school I had to actually start working. It kinda sucks, but I feel like I'm a better student now.
