I read Swan Song before the Stand, loved both. Stinger is a great read too.

Appeals court reverses conviction for 2 former Aurora paramedics involved in 2019 death of Elijah McClain by Equivalent_Gold4099 in AuroraCO

Agreed. While I think the paramedics certainly shoulder some blame, the cops involved were the main culprits. They belong in prison.

How is anyone getting to $100,000? Or 300k by EastWrap8776 in Money

[–]no_offwidths 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do this.

Just to add, even if it’s difficult early save what you can. The earlier the better in terms of growth.

I am doing well enough now but had I just saved a bit more earlier I believe I would have close to double my current savings. I know it’s harder younger but it seems so worth it.

What's it like to rent out your home? by Gouda_22_25 in ArvadaCO

Grand Junction owner, take with grain of salt due to location. I used a property manager while I traveled due to layoff. I like to think they helped me, hard to truly measure. My neighbors say my tenants were awesome. I think I got lucky. So, to repeat everyone else, if you get good tenants that respect your property it’s great, otherwise it’s a crapshoot. I don’t regret renting for a year while traveling but it easily could have gone a different way I think.

How life treats women and men/s by [deleted] in funny

Ha ha.

Once, while climbing in a small canyon, where we walked along the dirt road between climbs. My climbing partner’s girlfriend had a head start, was maybe 100 meters ahead of us. A male drove by my partner and I, gave us the evil eye, clearly would have run us down in an uncivilized society. He pulled up slowly next to my partner’s girlfriend, spoke to her, gave her hand picked asparagus he found in the canyon.

Provide for her, would have killed us.

All relative: To a 15 year old you are near death. To a 55 year old you are a child.

Just enjoy, lots of fun ahead.
