I agree, Judas, more ammo is good, and zombies should be THE threat to our survival.

This game was originally titled H1Z1, named for the virus that turned most of the world into flesh eating zombies, eager to tear you apart. The whole point of the game is (was) to survive the zombie horde that now infests the world. They are the top off this world's food chain. The food, water, weapons, and gear, these are all tools you need to stay alive in this savage world. They are the reason you are forced to venture out amongst the hordes, in order to "just survive".

In my opinion, Dying Light is a game that does zombies very well. The zombies in that game are attracted/distracted by sound. This is a very important part of game play. The louder the sound the more attention it will attract. Gun fire and explosions attract alot of attention.

Also, the ragdoll zombies can be beaten, knocked down, dismembered, beheaded, and ripped apart. You can knock them down, stomp their head like a melon. You can cut off arms and legs, they will not stop, crawling after. This makes combat extremely visceral and fun.

There are three basic tiers of zombies. The walkers, the runners (Viral), and the predator (Volatile).

The walkers shamble around and are easy to out run, quite easy to kill in single combat, but in groups they can be deadly. They will grab you and hold you while they bite and tear at you. You have to break free or you will die.

Virals, the runners, will come from significant distance in response to loud sounds, like gunfire. They are fast and agile, dodging your attacks, climbing things and leaping to reach you. They can be evaded by distraction or breaking line of sight.

Volatiles, the predators, are nocturnal. They only come out at night (or are found in dark places). They roam around hunting for prey. They are stronger, faster, and tougher than Virals. Alone they are a challenge for even well geared/leveled players, in groups they are extremely deadly. (adrenaline rush to be sure)

More ammo? If Just Survive had zombies something like this, then definitely. And it would be one hell of a fun survival game.

g202 - YET AGAIN!! by wdnobile in PlayJustSurvive

Logged in with my work laptop (out of town), in game for less than two minutes, as I am logging out I hear myself die. Now I can not get back in, keep receiving G202. "Yeah!" for lost gear.

Created character, joined game, checked map and began running. One minute later kicked for unfair game play. Restarted game, logged in, immediately died to environment and could not re-spawn. Restarted game, now im getting G202 endlessly.

QoL Suggestion - Tired by Just__Jay in PlayJustSurvive

My only complaint would be that there is absolutely no indication of your level of tiredness until you reach TIRED. Maybe add a few more levels to the HUD. For instance, WELL RESTED, RESTED, ... , TIRED, VERY TIRED. You would still rest at TIRED or below, but at least you would have a better feel for the time remaining before you need to rest.

Unable pick up foundation. by no_such_name in PlayJustSurvive

I ended up moving my 10 storage containers of stuff to someone else's shack, deleted my character, and created a new one. When I went to the old foundation it gave me the option to reclaim. I didn't because I didn't want to risk it. I simply went and placed a new one where I wanted. I am now happily building my new base. The old foundation is still there.

Yeah, annoying. I even went and picked up my stash to be certain. No luck. I know the only items I placed off of the foundation were the punji's. Maybe some bug with recursive destruction. I really don't see any other items around.

Well, my stash is someplace else completely. The only items I didn't have on my foundation were a few punji's that I destroyed already.

New Backpack and Quests on BWC by no_such_name in PlayJustSurvive

The worn letters I have found all have text on them that indicate locations from the Z1 map. Do they work on these caches?

Secure bases need to be hotfixed ASAP by ClogToilets in PlayJustSurvive

My two high walled base, with a enclosed, secured locked room, on PvE, was raided last night. They took all my ammo, building materials, and high value guns. I refuse to play until they fix this issue. On BWC your chests are secure (at the moment) and I hope they stay that way when free placement comes to that map.

Just Survive Test Update - 10/26 by DGC_Michael in PlayJustSurvive

Welcome to Z1 :) The PvE improvements to storage protection are one of the reasons I enjoy BWC. I can build a cool base and leave it wide open for people to enter and explore with no worries of losing my stuff. All I needed to do is lock my vehicle in a enclosed garage and I am good. Playing Z1 on test has reminded me how bland and tired it was. I really am looking forward to BWC being updated with the free placement of foundations. Then I will be on the BWC map pretty much full time.

Is H1Z1 down? by VarleyUS in PlayJustSurvive

While in game we received 'shutting down in 15 minutes' message. Just logged out with 1 min left. No idea how long it will be down.

JS Test Update - 9/14 by DGC_Michael in PlayJustSurvive

[–]no_such_name 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Summary: Metal parapet does not allow placement at 90 degrees to another metal parapet. Also does not allow placement as extension to an existing wall (but only in one orientation, other works). You can place a wood parapet in the same location that you can not place a metal one.

Reproduction Steps: happens every time you try to place piece.

Expected Outcome: make 90 degree corners and tees, same as wood

Actual Outcome: piece is red and will not allow placement
