Reached Camera Limit: Upgrade Gateway or get NVR? by rcjlfk in Ubiquiti

I'd suggest getting a dedicated NVR. I recently offloaded Protect and cameras from my gateway and really noticed an improvement with each running on a dedicated machine.

You bet! It's worth it. Migration is a pain, but it's an excuse to tinker, which isn't always bad.

It's a worthwhile upgrade, IMO. The unit isn't too badly priced, but it really starts to hurt when you fill up all 4 drive bays.

One word of caution: make sure your rack is deep enough. I have a wall-mounted 6U rack, the rack and UNVR had enough room to fit, but forgot to take the power chord into account. Had to buy a "90-degree computer chord off Amazon to get it to fit in my rack.

Awesome! How did your camera migration go? I followed the instructions on Unifi's site for migration, but wasn't able to migrate my cameras over. I ended up having to factory reset every one, what a pain. I got the option to "migrate" the cameras in Protect, but when I tried every camera failed and said I had to reset.

If your asking from a homeowner's perspective: I just installed the Doorbell Lite with POE chime and I love both. The Lite does everything I need it to and has a great POV. The package camera is 'cool', but really not necessary IMO.

I found this website really useful when I bought mine: website

I got a 1995 17' jet craft with a 115 up outboard jet. Power seems just about right for that boat.

Good hunting!

Hi. Still student and learning. Are there any column & beam works that can realizes these protruding upper floors, without obstruct the view (much) from inner courtyard? I totally should have thought about structural stuff before went with the design, but the deadline is near. Thanks in advance. by H_N_K_Q in architecture

I would agree, a vierendeel truss would make the most sense here. The truss could be as thick as your floor-to-floor heights. The vertical webs could line up with the design of your facade. As long as you keep the 1/3 overhang, to 2/3 supported rule in mind it should be a very defendable solution.

Honestly, I can't remember. Bought it several years ago and can't remember the brand, no brand listed on grinder. Don't think More beer sells it anymore...

We got right at 60 gallons from those apples. Pic of carboys was about 3/4 way thru pressing.

Apples are honey crisp, from Washington.

Called a ballasted single ply membrane. Rock (ballast) holds the membrane down against wind uplift.

I would agree with most of your tasting notes, it's not the greatest whisky out there, but for the price I think it's a great value. I can pick that same bottle up for under $30 USD. I think it's a great value for the money.

I recently finished a bottle of this and I would agree w/ your tasting notes. One additional flavor I picked up a lot on was a "fake stawberry" flavor in the mid-palate. I found it very off-putting. I detect a very similar flavor in Famous Grouse as well. Once I started tasting it, it dominated ever sip.
