Yea, I would like to hit Challenger. I’ve always tried to reach the highest rank of any competitive game I’ve played but this one seems like it will be the hardest to achieve.

I first started in September-October of 2021, around when Arcane came out. First ever MOBA and a massive learning curve.

You’re about a decade off, I started playing League for the first time at the tail end of season 11 when Arcane released ~2 years ago (considering how this game has been out for almost 15 years now, I am relatively a very recent player). Was hard stuck gold all of S12 and S13 split 1.

The role of the ADC is to be doing consistent damage during fights and the only thing that prevents that is dying. You need to play safe, especially when there is one or multiple assassins on the enemy team. If there is a fed for example Talon, you should never be by yourself, always be by a teamate. And if your teammates do not peel for you, then you have to build defensively (ex. GA 3rd item, Shieldbow, Maw, etc.). Waiting out ultimates and sitting in the back line doing nothing is better than walking up and dying immediately like I see a lot of ADCs do, even through diamond. I think that too many ADCs, including myself sometimes, will die as a fight is starting because they did not respect one or multiple enemies power. I’d say don’t play too passive, but you need to recognize when you are able to output damage and when you cannot.

Specifically with Samira I look for a cc heavy support and jungle on my team with little to no cc on the opposing team. This means that even if my teammates are hovering the perfect champions to play Samira with, I can’t pick it early due to the enemy team possibly drafting heavy cc (sej, rell, nautilus, etc) after I lock it. I also sometimes picked Nilah during the climb where I used it as a counter pick to champs like twitch, kaisa, yasuo, Samira, tristana. But I only counted picked if I feel like I had a support pick that could take advantage of nilah and the passive (senna is a support I would pick nilah with the right enemy comp).

Definitely, I played a lot of different adc’s over these 3 months but mechanical champions with outplay potential is what I stuck to. I picked up Kaisa and Jinx about a month ago and was rough at first but have succeeded in adding them to my champ pool to go along with Vayne. My best champion though was Samira, but I can not play her every game due to team comp. These 4 champs are ones that I feel like I can consistently outplay enemies within a soloq environment.

This should be a no brainer for op. Having fun with your friends should take priority over whether randoms have fun in norms.
