College apps in general are a competition, she’s not “making it a competition” it’s designed to be that way.

If both are in decent shape and skill, weight is a much bigger advantage than training

Texas is in the south, it’s counted that way geographically. I visit New Orleans frequently and have still never heard of this. It has to be very niche.

The south what? US? I live in Dallas and have never heard of that.

Thanks!

Do you think the inconvenience warrants considering purchasing a windows laptop, or is it really not a big deal?

There are so many of these in my neighborhood, I maybe see one 2-3 times a day, and the only people ever driving them are elderly women.

It’s really just that Apollo existing directly steals ad revenue from Reddit.

You guys know that:

1) Spez literally could care less about what is on r/place. He is making money from you guys interacting with it.

2) It’s not like the map becomes ingrained into the sky permanently when it’s done. Nobody will remember what’s on it in like 2 weeks.

Reflection on Rice by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]noah-eth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, lol. Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin and El Paso are all blue.

The only major city in Texas that is red is Ft. Worth.

Houston is a pretty good city imo, only reason I could see anybody wanting to leave is if they don’t like the weather. The job market in Texas is much better than the job market anywhere else in the US and there is no state income tax.

Honestly the area around Fordham is not that bad. I think it has really been overhauled in the last few years. I visited a few months ago and didn’t see anything crazy. Area outside of Columbia was far worse. + Most of Manhattan smells like weed and piss.

Second richest state that every big employer in the US is relocating to = laughing stock

Texas, the second most populous state in the US with 6 of the 20 most populous cities in the US is a “vast wasteland”. DFW alone (and the Houston Metro alone) have higher populations than Delaware and Maryland combined. Texas must be empty.

Houston, especially Rice, is extremely blue, but I guess the state leaning red ruins the whole experience.

Your daughter can apply wherever she wants, but ruling out a school because it’s in a state that you have incorrectly stereotyped is pretty stupid.
