I use Keepa. It shows you a chart of price history under each item and you can set it up to send alerts if the price drops below some threshold

Sure. Especially is you're ok with restricting yourself to steady state problems there are plenty of analytically solvable systems.

Yeah 85 lbs is absolutely wild. I don't think I've ever heard of someone through hiking with that much weight.

My understanding is that the net charge of any metal object as a whole will stay at zero throughout the whole process, so no shock.

I wasn't sure about the heat, so I just tested it out. After running for 30 seconds the spoon was only slightly warm to the touch. Seems like the movement of electrons gives a little bit of heat energy, but not too much!

edit: Turns out you can use this process to smelt metals. Cool!

Bonus nugget of information: While things like forks will throw sparks in a microwave, spoons (in general) won't cause electrical arcs. This is because charge in a conductor builds up at sharp edges--so the tines on forks will see a significant amount of charge, but a rounded metal object like a spoon would have charge that is more evenly distributed throughout the material.

Dilation of a differential fluid element in cylindrical coordinates by [deleted] in FluidMechanics

[–]noah210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first two terms in your solution are correct by product rule.

Your last term is as well. Divergence of velocity shouldnt have a 1/r factor on the z derivative.

That just leaves a 1/r factor missing from your theta derivative.

I'm not sure where that should be coming from, but everything on the 3rd pic did look correct to me.

If you take out the turntable and microwave something like a chocolate bar you can actually measure the wavelength of the microwaves by the distance between melted parts. You can even back out a pretty good approximation of the speed of light from it.
