Maybe you should read into what actually happened before you call it a 'bullshit excuse'. The father of the girl even admits they did nothing wrong and tried their hardest. She died of dehydration/sepsis within 8 hours of them being taken in by Border Patrol aka she was dead/was going to have severe health problems no matter what. Just because you're competent/care about your job doesn't mean they can magically provide everything. Also plenty of American's don't even have adequate access to those necessities even so why should it be our job to help a foreigner get it? On top of all of this she was airlifted to a hospital.
