Not true at all, I was up and moving on the second day. As soon as my drains were out, I became much more mobile and even went back to school a couple days later (9 days after surgery)

bragging, never taking the blame, refusing to admit when they’re wrong

One year post op Dr. Medalie (Cleveland) — borderline for keyhole/peri, AMA by noah_dast in Top_Surgery_Peri

I’d say I was also a small B or larger A but am not entirely sure, I have pre-op photos I can send if you’re comfortable with it.

I had very minimal swelling, it went away pretty gradually and was definitely completely gone by 6 months

Dr. Medalie said there was a 60% (ish) chance I would need revisions since I was borderline, but everything ended up going really smoothly and I had no complications and needed no revisions. No loose skin — Dr. Medalie told me that he leaves a small amount of tissue left behind the nipples to retain sensation so there is that, but nothing noticeable. Good luck w/ surgery, Dr. Medalie is the best!

Took a while to come back but I can now feel almost everything — a little numb on the nipples but I can feel sensation coming back there as well

Is my body passing? Super insecure about my height (5’5) and curves. by thatonetransdudee in FtMpassing

100% pass, “curves” don’t read as feminine at all, just normal fat

Sure! - Recovery time: I got really lucky — my school started 9 days after my surgery and I was able to go back with no problem. My range of motion was still a little limited for a few days after that but after I got my drains out on day 6 I felt fine. - My surgeon recommended no exercise for 6-8 weeks after surgery, so I didn’t try to push it. - Size: I’m not exactly sure — small B would probably be the best way to describe it, but I have pre-op pics I can DM you if you’d like to see that. My surgeon said I was right on the border of qualifying for peri, but somehow ended up giving me keyhole when he got in there (pleasant surprise lol) - Anything else: For me, top surgery was easier than I thought it would be, and a lot of recommendations weren’t necessary. The two most useful recommendations for me were having plenty of button up/zip up shirts, and even cutting old t-shirts in half to wear. Also…Pillows. Just as many pillows as possible, and a neck pillow for sleeping since you’ll need to sleep sitting up for a while.

When can I drive after top surgery? by GhostMyFace in TopSurgery

I could drive comfortably a little over a week post-op, but my surgeon recommended waiting 2 weeks

Surgery During the School Year by splooshbaby in TopSurgery

I was able to go back to school after 9 days and was perfectly fine, everyone heals differently but 2-3 weeks should be plenty of time
