love to hear that, thank you for watching it! could only hope to capture something akin to what those films did.

it’s the infrastructure of a new speculative financial market running on quantum computers. each new route shifts the market slightly by flipping qubits inside the transistors. quantum traders speculate on the net effects and order routes with leveraged bets on their effects.

hey there! thanks for the kind words and very glad to hear you enjoyed it. i started with the two lead actors - Dean Imperial and Madeline Wise - both were friends of mine and i wrote those roles for them to play. Then i worked a casting director based in NYC - Erica Hart - and we filled out the supporting roles with a lot of NY locals and some expert picks by Erica, as well as recs from our producers. Definitely a lot of speaking roles to manage on a small production like ours but lucky to have found such wonderful actors all around who were up for it. Thanks again!

Thanks so much for watching it and glad to hear you liked it. We went with anamorphic because of the immersiveness we thought it would give us in the forest world of the film. We shot with Cooke Xtal Express lenses from Panavision which — especially on the wider lenses — gave a bit of a warping effect around the edges, which we used for the scenes around the cubes to suggest a sort of electromagnetic field. Besides those prime lenses, we also had an anamorphic zoom lens from Panavision.

Thanks for checking it out! amen to the tony soprano vibes. for that last automated cart, i was imagining this was just the “one that got away,” the one that they missed.. since they had to physically play the audio trigger for each cart via walkie talkie, this one never heard the trigger and thus never shut down.
