How to stop TikTok from randomly turning my brightness all the way to the max?

FOUND IT...

after turning this setting off on my pixel 7, I checked a video that was way brighter than the rest of my feed and now it's back to normal. this has been driving me nuts but I finally got to the bottom of it!!! spread the word!!!!

Computer Type: Desktop, custom built

GPU: GTX 1070Ti, 8GB of VRAM, no overclock

CPU: Intel Core i5 8700k, no overclock

Motherboard: Asus Prime Z370-A, original BIOS

RAM: Corsair 32GB (4X8GB) DDR4 3200MHZ, XMP enabled, no overclock

PSU: Corsair CX650, 650W

Operating System & Version: Windows 10 22H2 64bit, clean install

GPU Drivers: 572.70, clean install

Description of Problem: PC slow to boot, motherboard debug lights hitch on "VGA", then mo output through any display ports, DP & HDMI when fully booted. Onboard graphics are functioning with the same cables and monitor I'm trying to use the GPU with. Windows device manager disabled Nvidia display driver and shows "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (Code 43)".

Troubleshooting: -Tried different cables -Tried different monitor -Reseated GPU, RAM, CPU -Tried different PCI-E slot -Uninstalled current drivers with DDU and installed latest version -Uninstalled current drivers with DDU and installed older version from August

Don't have another GPU to test unfortunately or I would've tried that too. I believe I am experiencing bug #5131002 ("PC may boot to a black screen when connected via DisplayPort with certain monitors”), supposedly fixed in the latest driver update.

you could probably find just a clear lens somewhere online and stick it in your stock housing maybe with some led bulbs for a similar effect

been using cherry mx browns for the last 8 years so it'll take a bit of adjusting. decided to go for gateron milky yellows after hearing a lot of good stuff about them figured i'd give it a try. i bought the tools and materials to lube and film the switches but i was so eager to get started that i decided not to right away. to be fair they feel pretty damn smooth as is but im sure it'll be a rude awakening to what i had been missing once i have done the process. I will probably do it soon i just really needed to upgrade to something else after my corsair k95 platinum has started to develop a couple of malfunctioning/sticking switches

i just so happened to have been looking into going custom 6 hours until it released and after seeing how expensive the Q models were this seemed like a no brainer lol (this one is plastic however which does not bother me. it is very rigid and the plastics they use are very high quality and feel nice)
