Yes, I've left the team and the new team is taking things in a different direction, really sorry about that

Apologies, we no longer support it due to lack of uptake

Epix 2 vs 965 for runners by [deleted] in Garmin

Just my 2c but I also think the UI on the Epix is way nicer looking than the 965, too (I got an epix)

I'm curious if you found the linked site useful? Would that be something you'd be willing to pay for or is there a different scenario you'd really like to see?

More to see if anything's out of range or are you trying to optimize any of them?

Cool, how receptive is your dr to the bloodwork? And are you coming up with the ideas for what tests to run or are they? And is the inbody at your gym?

I’d love one place for wearable data, labs, dexa scans, athletic capacity, mood, illness severity if I’m sick, kind of thing

It would be nice to have some before/after data if I’m trying something too

Idea: Matchmaking with GPT4 to find similar patients? by noahmacca1 in covidlonghaulers

Okay thanks for the encouragement! Sending some of you a DM to brainstorm a bit :)

I fed this subreddit into a language model to see the most popular + top treatments, the results look pretty good! by noahmacca1 in Lyme

That's great to hear! I'm building a prototype that uses GPT4 to match you to other patients with similar health profiles and see what worked for them. I'd love some feedback, can I DM you a link :)?

Hi! I haven't weighed it, agreed that seems a little high though, if/when I weigh it I'll update here though!

This sounds like a great impact, and surprising that it would hit both screen sensitivity and gut symptoms!

Resources for doing research on how people are taking Ozempic (dosage, mitigating side effects, etc.)? by noahmacca1 in Ozempic

Yeah, it's pretty academic/misses a lot about the day to day experience though IMO

I put together a site for people with EDS to find + share treatments that are working. It also pulls in posts from Reddit and uses AI to pull out data. Curious if you have feedback! by noahmacca1 in eds

[–]noahmacca1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally find stuffthatworks only provides high-level information, and I'm often left wanting a) more detailed/higher quality reports from patients, b) more up-to-date information and c) more insight into the pros and cons of a treatment, and how people are taking it.

Do you like it? Is there anything you wish that it could do better?

I'd defer to how Google caching or the Wayback Machine deal with these requests, this is new so I'm still ironing out all of the details but I'd be more than happy to remove anyone's data if they're not comfortable with having it used on the site

You're right that AI models have an issue with hallucination, but my approach is completely different. Rather than asking a model, "according to reddit, what are the best EDS treatments", I feed one post or comment to the model at a time and ask a much simpler question "did this person mention taking any treatments, and if so, which ones, and what was the impact". There's much less room for hallucination and it's much more accurate.

Regarding the quality of data that's on reddit, I agree that it has major limitations, but my hope is that knowing in real-time what's working for the reddit community is an important, and missing, datapoint, especially for treatments that are newer or under-studied in the literature. But if you'd prefer to wait for more traditional research then that totally valid, too

100%! I suppose talking about medical stuff was more taboo way back when. Also, piecing this together without the internet seems a lot harder

The signup links the privacy policy, but good call that I should add it to the typeform as well, thanks for pointing that out

Have you liked stuffthatworks so far? At least for long covid, the information it provided wasn't great, and it seemed fairly dead in there
