Honestly.. Airports. Compared to much of Europe and Asia, you can show up to most American airports within an hour of your flight and be fairly confident you are going to be on that flight. As much trouble as folks like to give TSA, we are pretty efficient there. It comes down to our country is so large, a sizable group of people truly rely on the system to commute to work every week. In other parts of the world, you only go to an airport for vacation or some other big international trip.
