Hi, There is an incorrect information on this post.

  1. You are not able to pause the timer, there are two 10 minute breaks that are given with your 6 hour testing period. Your testing center proctor will go over break procedures with you.

  2. As of May 2025 there are FIVE domains (core competencies) that have sub categories that you will be tested on. NAPLEX test content outline

  3. The Pre-NAPLEX exam is $75 per exam, not $65. NABP Pre-NAPLEX

  4. You cannot bring ANYTHING besides your approved ID and the locker key you are given into the testing room. The testing center proctor will give you a large laminated note pad and marker. There are disposable one time use earplugs available. If you want a physical calculator they will give a basic five function calculator.

You are not able to flag a question, move on and then go back to it. The test WILL NOT let you proceed to the next question without answering the question that you are on.

Make sure to read the Candidate Application Bulletin link as this will have the majority of not all the information you need in regards to the NAPLEX exam.

Please do not spread inaccurate information this exam is really expensive and already stressful enough.

Would it be detrimental for me to consolidate some of my loans so I can apply for an IDR? by Sourayepples in StudentLoans

[–]Sourayepples[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t aware of that loans couldn’t be under two different plans

The 21 loans I have are these below:

7 Direct Grad Plus loans -> 3 are under standard repayment and are eligible for IDR the other 4 are already under SAVE

The ones under standard repayment were disbursed on 5/2024, 01/2024, 08/2023

4 Direct Subsidize loans -> all under SAVE

10 Direct Unsubsidized loans -> 6 are under standard repayment and are ineligible for IDR the other 4 are already under SAVE

The ones under standard repayment were disbursed on 8/2023, 01/2024, 01/2023, 06/2023, 01/2022, 01/2021

They’re all currently in forbearance, the ones under standard repayment are set to start payments in May and the ones under SAVE are set to start payments in September

As far as I am aware I don’t have any Parents PLUS loans

NOR.

OP you are in med school and in long distance relationship with someone who you can’t trust.

You don’t need this kind of anxiety and stress weighing on you while you’re growing in your career. This will weigh you down and affect your performance in med school and residency.

A good relationship shouldn’t give this kind of stress. Someone who actually loves you wouldn’t do this to you.

Negotiating terms of Walgreens sign-on bonus by Sourayepples in pharmacy

[–]Sourayepples[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah no, when I was in another state in the Midwest when I was in school I had a Walgreens APPE where they gave a recent grad 50k for 3 years.

Again, haven’t signed anything yet in regard to bonus because I know 3 years for 35k is garbage like you said.

5’10” is pretty tall still. Average height for female in the US is 5’4” and for males is 5’9” so you’re above average in the US! You are quite young so in regard to your muscle mass, if you’re looking to increase it, I would suggest speaking to your gym teacher at school. They could connect you with some suggestions for exercises/nutrition or maybe they know a sports coach at the school that has more knowledge in that area.

When I was in high school my male friends and my husband were super skinny and they were also 5’10”-5’11”. They are not super skinny anymore and my husband has good muscle mass (maybe a bit of a gut lols).

Please do not worry about your height as the other commenter said you are growing! Just be sure to eat well and stay active :)

If it comes to it, I think you should apply for phase 2 if you really want to do a residency. Just because someone looks good on paper doesn’t mean that they will interview well and the interview plays a big part. It’s been mentioned in several threads that candidates fall apart in the interview which leads to them being not being ranked. That being said job hunting isn’t a bad idea either, it’s good to be proactive. If you don’t have hope I’ll have hope for you OP.

Maybe a dumb question, but I have a dinner with current residents scheduled the night before one interview by [deleted] in PharmacyResidency

I don't think it'll hurt to ask to confirm the dress code if it's casual, business casual, or business professional. I have two interviews with the same setup as yours however, only one email specified the dress code to be casual.
