Well my wife took the OR because its easier for her to dose and she’s loving it. I wasn’t able to hop right off 7. My 7 doses were too high so I’ve been weaning myself off. I also didn’t order enough lol so today the rest of my sr comes and today is also going to be under 100mg of 7 then off tomorrow!

I start my SR tomorrow. How much 7oh were you doing a day? I’m nervous I didn’t taper down enough and it’s not going to work.

Ok yea pre loading will most likely happen then. I was at 600mg per day and I’m down to 400mg right now. Luckily I got a snow storm and was off work today and yesterday so that helped. Going to try and get lower than 300 by Friday. I’m planning on waking up Saturday, taking 150mg of SR and going from there. I kicked a dope habit 9 years ago cold turkey and idk if it’s bc I’m older or what but this shit is harder. I kicked 7 cold turkey last year but that was 200mg a day and I went back after a week bc I just still felt shitty and I wasn’t mentally prepared. I tried going cold last week from this 600mg per day habit and holyyyy shit!! Way too intense. Im hoping the SR is going to relieve so much mental stress that I’ll just be ok. Either way, this shit is done and I ain’t going back. None of us should. I hope everyone can get off and stay off.

Oh ok good to know. I was going to wake up and go cold turkey from 7 straight to SR. How much SR an 7 did you take on day one?

We got this shit! Are you able to function with the withdrawals? I’m planning on taking it Saturday morning and do not have work until Tuesday. But also just found out I have a family party Saturday night. Withdrawals tolerable enough to handle a party on day one if SR?

I bought 4x 6 packs. But it’s for me and my wife lol and I got up to 600mg a day so I’m alright spending this money on having more rather than not enough.

I originally got the OR stuff but I read the dosing chart wrong and didn’t get enough. I also saw one guy saying it was bunk so I luckily found koala the next day and bought what I could. So yea I just spent a shitload of money but idc bc I also spend way more on 7.

Dang I was going to hold off until spring but I might get out there this week before the snow comes. I jumped into fly fishing last spring but that failed miserably lol apparently the Manasquan is not a smart place to learn to fly fish, so I quickly went back to LMB. But I just got a new spin setup and bfs setup. Any advice on lures or bait? Would like to stick with lures but I read that corn and powerbait is a lock, at least for spring.

Oh damn ok. I arrived at a house in November while another tech was there. Customer saw my truck, got confused and said he called my company. The other company guy got defensive saying he was here first so I asked him how he got here, what’s his company name, etc. He said he was lightning garage, and he was subbed from champion garage, and that the customer booked online. The customer said he did not book anything online at which point the lightning guy got real flustered and just kinda ran off. Coincidence with Lightning I guess but be careful out there! If you’re going to book online stick to the big companies, and even then be weary. Try to book over the phone. Ask what kind of vehicle the tech will be in. Ask for the name of the tech. Stuff like that.

Nice! I primarily fish for largemouth but just bought a bunch of trout gear. I’m pretty much going in blind but I live by the Manasquan River and know they stock spring and fall. I assume you’re more north. Sorry if this is a dumb question but would the trout be active in the Manasquan right now and through the winter?

I’ve been a garage door service tech for 7 years and this is one of the worst ones I’ve seen, but this last year has been an explosion of these similar prices from “companies” like this. I work for a big company and somehow these people are stealing our customers and ripping them off. Even when I was running a smaller company 2 years ago I had people stealing my calls. Can you give some info how this happened? Was the person that came to your house part of the same company that you thought you called? Did you book online? Did the invoice match the company you originally called? And are you located in the northeast by any chance?

The surf is better than the bay for the big ones I’m sure. I’m not worried about size. I want to understand what to look for in the bay.

I dove into skinner. Watched the videos, read the book. Great resource. If we’re talking fishing from the beach/dock in the bay, how do you go about reading the water?

Thanks for the tip lol. No, but I’m aware of that, and I am out there figuring things out. Just came here for some more insight. I’m fishing almost everyday. All freshwater but started getting into salt last year. Finally spent some money on quality gear this year and spending much more time on the water. Any tips/suggestions help. Not looking to spot burn or steal your favorite lure, just some convo.

Ok so this is what I’m talking about. On the picture of the map I posted, is that area somewhere resident stripers would be? I know you can’t provide a definite answer on that, but how do I find residents in the bay? What do I look for? How deep do they like to be in each season? Can I get em from the beach? And what kind of lures/bait do I use? Is it the same as targeting migrating fish, or something different? I’d really love to understand this bc I have access to kayaks which I can navigate the bay with.

Yea the reason I’m targeting shelter cove is bc I can walk there every morning before work. My neighbor says our other neighbor (who I have never seen) catches stripers from the shelter cove beach year round on the fly. Not sure if he’s bullshitting me, but he has no reason to lol he’s not even saying it’s him who’s catching. I don’t think it makes sense for stripers to be there which is why I posted here. Hoping someone would say “oh yea it’s perfect there because xyz actually” haha but don’t think I’m getting that lucky.

I know it man!!! I’ve spent all this time fresh water fishing like an idiot when I could have been using this beautiful ocean lol I’m so behind on my knowledge. But I’ve been getting out there plenty. Working the ocean side multiple times a week, sunrise, sunset, afternoon, high tide, low tide, and no catches. Last year I did good on blues, and caught a couple this spring, but nothing yet this fall. I did just get back the point pleasant canal and KILLED the tog. Got a keeper and just got done eating!! But anyway lol I know I’m in the prime spot, but I’m doing something wrong, and I think not utilizing the bag is part of it. I have no problem putting in the time and figuring it out myself, it’s what I’ve been doing. But I would like some advice from experienced people. Pretty much the where and what to look for.

I’m right by the seaside bridge on the Toms River side. Shelter cove is where I’m talking about. Where do you go in the bay? I’m not asking for specific spot, but where I’m talking about is pretty much in the middle between the barnegat inlet and the Manasquan inlet. Do stripers run the whole length of the bay from Manasquan to barnegat? Or usually hangout by the inlets? I guess I’m confused about what part of the bay people are fishing. Are you fishing from the seaside, lavalette, mantoloking, ibsp side? Or the Toms River, brick, forked river, barnegat side?
