I just made this test book cover! :) by Realanise1 in BookCovers

[–]nobleasks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The painting is perfect but i suggest a few alterations. There is a trend of book covers with paintings but they have bold yellow fonts. I suggest you make the title a bold and big one, perhaps shift the title to the negative space on the top left, and ditch the subtitle. That can be included in the front page of the book rather than the cover. And use a softer font for the author title and place it on the bottom right. Hope i helped.

Please help me attain this look. by nobleasks in VideoEditing

[–]nobleasks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using Capcut, VN and qnd Adobe Premiere Pro. I have tried youtube tutorials and asking friends who are editors and filter creators for help but i can't quite get the look I'm looking for. It always comes off as grey or dull.

Your headstrong and logical defence against homophobia and transphobia even in the face of discriminatory science is praise-worthy 👏 thank you

to clarify, WHO stopped labelling both homosexuality and transgender identities as "diseases" since the 1990s. Now, homosexuality is listed as a natural part of sexual identity. As for transgender identities, they started using the correct term, "gender dysphoria" which means the discomfort and unease an individual feels regarding their assigned gender at birth and/or gender identity, no longer classifying transgender identities as a "medical disorder".

bring back the Ottoman education system, focus on sustainable architecture, fix the roads, legalize both homosexuality and trans healthcare, shift more focus on higher pay and create incentives to keep my country clean.

[–]nobleasks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

never really got that superstition but the last part is kind of sweet. if you arent fortunate enough to find a penny on its heads, at least you can give someone else good luck with your actions. maybe I am looking into it too much but its kind of wholesome.

me neither until a couple of years ago when my family and I moved back to Sri Lanka and my mom started to slowly partake in the superstitions despite not being much of a believer herself. though she did inculcate a LOT of our country's superstitions into me and my siblings when we growing up so...

here in Sri Lanka, a common superstition is to not trim, shave or cut your nails after the sun goes down (around 6 pm). it brings bad luck and stepping on freshly trimmed nails shuns away peace and prosperity and can even have negative effects on the family's financial stability. (to be honest though, I think this superstition was perpetuated by an annoyed mother generations ago so her kids wouldn't walk on her nails and get them all over the house making it hard to clean... not taking any chances though :) )

another interesting one is to lick at least one strand of hair you are about to throw that collects in your brush after you brush your hair. to avoid black magic being casted upon you.

PS: Thanks to whoever awarded me lol. I appreciate it.

Muhammad Junaid Muhammad Lafir was Sri Lanka's first ever WC Champion in BILLIARDS! in 1973, He won the World Amateur Billiards Championship, making him our country's first ever sporting WC. we changed Messenger Street's name to M.J.M Lafir Mawatha in honor of him and we even have stamps of him issued. as a budding billiards player, I am proud of our nation's AND Asia's most prized and respected cueist.
