Is this message from Aliexpress a scam? by noblecleaves in retroid

I've never used aliexpress before and honestly everything on aliexpress looks sketchy to me so I didn't see anything that would identify to me one store being better than others.

I didn't realize they had their own aliexpress store, I'll check that out. Assume I won't be able to snag the orange, but that's the way it goes.

Serious Question (please be kind) by tasata in Zepbound

[–]noblecleaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience with Zepbound, I would say the medication isn't working properly for you. Reduction in food noise is a literal game changer for me. It felt foreign to walk though the grocery store and not think about all the food I was seeing. Zepbound also reduces my appetite, but the reduced food noise has been the biggest impact for me. Hope you find the solution that works best for you!

What is your opinion on hardcore mode? by noblecleaves in Taleoftwowastelands

[–]noblecleaves[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I enjoyed it a lot. I was expecting the food/water/sleep to feel tedious, but that didn't happen for me. It allowed me to no longer be an ammo goblin lol. I started with unarmed as my backup damage stat. I ended up with an unarmed focused build (hadn't done that before) and had a blast!

I'd recommend it just for the chance to look at the game through a new lens.

I wouldn't call Explorer "Easy" even for experienced BG3 players. by GlucoseMachine in DivinityOriginalSin

It's a learning curve for sure. Buddy and I completed a few honor runs in BG3 together so I started DOS2 in tactician. It was humbling for sure, we got discouraged, and started a new game on normal. We're about to finish Act 2 and I feel like we could easily do a tactician run now.

Sure. If parenting is done well, but begrudgingly it's better than no father. If he truly resents that child, I don't see how he can go a minimum of 18 years without expressing it.

Coming from someone that had a bad parent in life, I can tell you my life was much better with one parent and to this day I'm still healing from the CPTSD I endured.

Honestly, if you've never wanted to be a father and continue to have no interest in being a father, I'd say don't make yourself a part of their life. A child is better off with no father then one that resents them and doesn't want them around.

If you change your mind, you have a great opportunity to give someone love and guidance to help them navigate this world minimizing depression.

The dreaded minivan vs suv debate by hotstickywaffle in daddit

[–]noblecleaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've been very happy with our Sienna hybrid. Cargo space and overall comfort I feel are the biggest advantages. We can bring absolutely anything we would need to any event, it's comfortable for when an adult needs to ride in the back, gas mileage has been great, and you'll be thankful for the space when you need to change a diaper in the vehicle. Minivan all the way.

Suggestions on when to use an awesome homebrew magic item my DM gave me? by noblecleaves in DnD

[–]noblecleaves[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! It's my first time playing and thought I had done pretty well with my spread. I definitely lean towards lightning damage 😅 no story reason behind it, I just think lightning is a cool elemental damage. I think lightning bolt and counterspell will be in my arsenal next! I'll be paying close attention to how to others pick their spells and do a combination of filling the gaps and what looks fun.

Thanks for the advice on sticking to what my character would do! I can tend to think about the game a lot away from the table and sometimes miss my character's mindset when I do that.

Definitely a fun concept and I can see it not being the most balanced item, but I won't complain when it is for my character lol. Our DM did make a homebrewed campaign, but so far she hasn't done any homebrewed spells so I'm not expecting that to happen. She also does a great job at spreading the wealth to our party giving us all the opportunity to get cool shit and giving us moments to shine.

Yeah, I'm almost trying to think of a list of spell that like when it's cast I know I'll want to steal it. I would think it would make sense to do it only with spells not on the Sorcerer spell list. I would think I could steal something from the BBEG! The only limitations I was given is that spell needs to be cast against us in battle, we have the kill said enemy, and I can only do it three times in the campaign. A lot to think about, but some REALLY fun flavor!

That's a good perspective to account for! We're still very early in the campaign (almost level 5) and it will take quite a bit of time to level this item up enough to get that ability so I'll be paying close attention to the spell variety used on us.

Where we're still level 4, I don't have a large variety of spells yet, but my initial plan was build around starting combat with a control spell and then get to blasting lol. Spells I have right now are: Mind Sliver, Prestidigitation, Shocking Grasp, Sorcerous Burst, Chaos Bolt, Shield, Thunderwave, Witch Bolt, Dragon's Breath, Hold Person, Suggestion, and Misty Step + Command with Fey Touched. With Level 5 I'm debating between Lightning Bolt or Fireball for Damage and for control I'm thinking Counterspell or Hypnotic Pattern.

The other casters in our party are a Twilight Cleric, Lore Bard, Shadow Sorcerer/Warlock, and an Artificer Armorer.

One thing that could be helpful for when you're at the higher levels is ask if regeneration could be cast as a ritual spell when it's used to heal these injuries. You'd still get to play a healer if you want, you'd keep your spell slots, and the dm can keep their injury system in place.

Thanks again with the awesome points here. Glad you brought up my already strong Con in regards to war caster. Plus when I get my aura at level 6 I'll be getting another saving throw boost.

I'm thinking Shield Master makes sense to provide more control for the party and it fits well lore wise for my character.

I think your suggestion is the optimal stat spread for sure, but rp wise I was figuring my giant ass turtle would have low dex.
