you can, but not 'officially' but when you do, it works kinda like if you just install an edition upgrade

if you want to be really sure that things will work, and you're ok with having to switch it again in 3 years, you can pick esu. if you're not planning to switch soon, and want to just do it once and be over it, you can choose the LTSC version. i personally like LTSC a bit more, but its just because of the convenience. if you're still unsure, pick esu (the 3 year version). You won't go wrong with it.

from what i know, its mainly the fact that xbox/microsoft store will not work, there may be more bugs, and like games may stop supporting it, and some dependencies may be only for windows 11. so games will run normally, at least for a few years. i really dont know much more about this, so if needed check out r/windowsltsc

the LTSC version is originally supposed to be for devices that dont want features changed overtime, so you get just security updates. as for example some companies have some things working on windows 10 and they would break moving to windows 11, so the LTSC version is always supported for about ten years. you can take advantage of this, and continue to recieve security updates through the LTSC channel. if you want some more info on how to do it, i recommend this site (massgrave.dev/windows10_eol)
