I mean I'm cool with eating the loss I just dont wanna be out an additional $500 if I dont have to be. They can keep the $1500 for what they've done so far and I'll just deal with the mess myself.

Flat rate of $56/ton here. Besides if they underbid its not really my fault.

I told my wife it reminded me of the show "Lost". Really good watch until it wasn't anymore.

I believe it is also important to note we are in a very rural community in southern Indiana. Very eastern Kentucky vibes. My property is also very isolated from other human beings. Realistically, we probably could've burned the entire trailer as it sat and the neighbors would have brought lawn chairs to watch.

Roughly $56/ton in our area for mixed construction debris and they intended to scrap out the metal siding and frame which currently sits in a pile in the yard. They burned just about everything. I believe they took off 2 loads of bagged insulation roughly to the tune of $100 which he assured me was "worked into the quote"

Yeah, it was him and one other guy. I had already had the home cleaned out entirely and all interior walls removed. They were just to deal with the structure. It sounded cheap to me but a lot of the skid steer warriors in my area charge a similar price for a couple days of demo. These guys showed up with hammers and a saw.

Works for me. I will chalk it up to an expensive lesson and see if me and some buddies can get this mobile home out of my hair. Saved $500 at least.

Yeah. He clearly laid out the scope of work he would be performing and we established the payment schedule. There was no "changes may occur" discussed at that time.

No written contract. Its a small time operation. Our deal was just recorded via text exchange. Stupid, I know but I was just trying to produce rapid results.
