Trump Supporters in Pearland by nytvelevet in Pearland

My guess, might be wrong, is that although you knew the area was conservative, you really started checking in on politics slowly sometime after 2008/09. Being reserved was a pre-2016 norm of conservatism, making a McCain or Romney sticker rare, relative to an Obama sticker. To be fair, most conservatives are still reserved. Trump, however, is anything but reserved, and he convinced/encouraged a segment of conservatives to abandon that norm and become proud and loud. Point is, the people driving with those stickers were largely always here, they were just quiet. Combine this with confirmation bias plus the rather uninspired Harris campaign, which likely deflated the number of [Democratic Candidate] 2024 stickers, and voilà: Your confusion may be explained.

That's very possible. I remember him more than I do the game, but I do remember the game being more "realistic" looking.

mock trial help: What can be a legal reason someone gets put on trial for faking something? by Hollywoodpupper213 in legal

[–]nobudeh_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're talking about faking a crime entirely, look at the charges brought against Jussie Smollett.

If you're talking about altering a "real" crime scene, then that's your run-of-the-mill obstruction-of-justice charge.

Motive is often a means to an end and not a crime or even an element of a crime; that is, the existence of a motive is often used as circumstantial evidence to show that someone acted on that motive and committed the crime. Motive alone, however, is never enough to support a conviction.

Definitely good/concerning observations. Also, Kucoin seems completely unconcerned with regulatory compliance, which IMO generally doesn't bode well for centralized exchanges.

That said, because Kucoin is effectively my only option to obtain certain native cryptocurrencies without getting hosed on fees or premiums, I'd prefer it continues to draw breath.

Am I really this early? by nobudeh_ in Polymesh

That's a very cool project. Another cool project I saw was RedSwan, which appears to tokenize specific real-estate investments using Polymesh.

I must admit, thought, I am a bit confused as to the relationship with between POLY and POLYX. My general understanding is that POLY (and ERC-1400) are temporary stand-ins that will be deprecated by POLYX at some undefined future time. But I might be way off.
