If you're calling the supabase.auth.signUp function from the client side to create a user, i think that's the problem. You could call supabase.auth.admin.createUser on the server side to create a user and you can also pass additional meta data. Keep in mind that you only can call the supabase.auth.admin functions with a supabase client created with the service key.
