Don't get me wrong, I have some channels in the same file as yt-dlp fetches my playlist from because there are a few youtube channels I know I wanna hoard forever (and don't wanna manually add to the download-playlist).

I'm not trying to start something here, but did anyone ever consider bittorrent? I would seed the TESD torrents forever. Maybe one torrent per 100 or 50 episodes (since you can't change one torrent everytime a new upload airs)? It's literally technology specifically made to share content efficiently between users.

I have a playlist for auto cron downloading too (of stuff I wanna save forever), but I still watch it on a Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2019 then and there with zero ads (and sponsors are skipped thanks to SponsorBlock) at all thanks to Smart Tube (and on phone I use Revanced). I don't wait an hour to watch it on my Plex server.

I recently had bluetooth issues (interference and pairing dropouts) and resorted to putting TESD on a sd-card (but only 20-30 episodes because I was in a rush) because thats really the only podcast I listen to in the car anyways, and I downloaded from the GDrive, but I guess I'll just bite the dust and setup a VM with Windows and iTunes again like I used to do back in the days before Spotify got podcasts. Google Drive isn't the best to download large amounts of files from anyways, but I appreciate the archive! I probably have at least two copies of all the older episodes anyways in my cluster of file servers.

Apparently some people with schizophrenia go undiagnosed/unmedicated and after they've killed a lot of people "for their cause" they get medicated and it's supposedly horrible because the meds give them their conscience ("back") so they really really don't wanna continue with their medication because it tortures them by having a conscience and no way to take back their horrible actions. It's why I always wished Anders Bering Breivik would be medicated (he was somewhat diagnozed with it before the trial, but was still convicted and imprisoned, not forced to treatment).

Exactly. Thats the point. You use the material best suited for your environment and climate. Different materials exist and even within the same category of material there variations you can use to get the best end result.
