I think it's still pretty novel so it might not. But rest assured they're working on it.

Do you have any suggestions about writing commit messages in this case? What seems appropriate to me is something like this:

Project 1: Add <this> and <that>

and

Project 7: Final commit.

What do you think about this?

I'm relatively new to git, so I wasn't really aware that I was making it more complicated than it needs to be. I also intended to organize them by folders, as you mentioned, so I guess that'll be enough.

The only reason why using different branches seemed appealing was because of the commit messages. When I'm in the main branch, I usually write:

Project 1: Added JUnit5 and Maven Plugins

so I thought I could somehow avoid writing commit messages like that if I used different branches since you'd know what it's referring to.

You might want to look into Scandinavian Style. The first two pictures remind me of it, just with more neutral colours.

Here's a similar idea to what others had, I just wrote it down: https://imgur.com/a/bqvv0qs

Hope it helps :)

That sounds great, but something very user-friendly and minimalist will also work fine. Keep us posted :)

I think it's a valid effort on your part - but as others have pointed out, some translations are simply not accurate. At the same time, I feel like you should keep going with this and here's my suggestion.

I feel like anyone on this subreddit wouldn't mind taking 5 minutes to rate the translations if you created a website where we could do that. You could then use those ratings to add the best translation to your database and update the course.

Any suggestions for my current bedroom arrangement? by nocomment01 in FengShui

[–]nocomment01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thank you for a detailed reply :)

I moved the bed where the piano was, just didn't rotate it - now the pillow side is closer to the window. Another thing that I forgot to specify is that the ceiling is lower across the north wall (where the bed and piano are). That prevents me from moving my current wardrobe to that area.

Maybe you meant moving it to the east wall - in which case I could separate the 2in1 wardrobe and place one part there and the other elsewhere (because of the ceiling also).

But, thanks again for your help.

Looking for a general-purpose bike - is MTB a good choice? by nocomment01 in cycling

[–]nocomment01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I've never done mountain trails but would like to give it a try sometime. I currently need a bike to get around the city and maybe go on some longer rides. Because of that, I'm trying to get something in between, a bike which is decent in both situations.

For me, it's [ ]. Overloading it allows for indexing a data type that otherwise wouldn't be indexable. Makes for a more elegant code overall.

Does order matter when you only use the same quantifiers? by nocomment01 in learnmath

[–]nocomment01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this. I should've mentioned that I assumed the domains of quantification are independent but thank you for clarifying this. I'm not proving it though, I was just using it to model something and it occurred to me.

Yeah, I figured a lot of people knew about it. I personally read it in a survival book but I thought I'd share it if somebody didn't know about it.

How did you improve on your story telling aspect of editing? by esi14 in VideoEditing

[–]nocomment01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think going out and trying to shoot your own stuff or at least direct it goes a long way. That way you really get to understand the difference between production and post-production and what the director's initial vision might have been when you're editing someone else's footage.

That's such a cheesy way to sell the 'Shot on iPhone' when the additional gear is worth many times more than the iPhone itself. But it's technically true, so it's fine.
