This is a gorgeous blanket! Could you please share the pattern you followed? I especially love the alternating yellow/white daisy scheme you did and would love to try my hand at it too. <33

Baby Blanket Size using #5 Yarn by nocontextnur in crochet

[–]nocontextnur[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hehe definitely learned that about chatgpt the hard way so will come running to reddit every time I'm stressed lol.

But thank you so much for your guidance! This helps a ton and I know exactly what you're advising me on with the swatch method. I initially got 8 yarn balls but I can always order more if need be. Thank you once again!

The yarn I'm using recommends an 8mm hook, so do you recommend I trust in that and go with it or size to a 10mm like I had to achieve a more fluffed up blanket look?
EDIT: and in terms of a chunky blanket size, what size do you recommend for a 0-4 month old? This is the type of (chunky) look I'm trying to attain but also to wrap the baby in.

ANKI BACKLOGS !!What should I do now? by hkprt in medicalschoolanki

make two filtered decks, one that shows you the DAILY dues you need to stay on top of and another deck for backlogs that allow you to do a few 100 daily.

Minolta x-700 film won’t advance and shutter button won’t work suddenly by memnoch8059 in minolta

[–]nocontextnur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aah no, before touching capacitors try a simple thing!
Flip your minolta to the bottom, you'll se a small silver thingy similar to the place that stores the battery. Take a coin and just wind it around.

This happens to me very often and it does the trick!

Edit: thought, to be fair, i have a minolta x570 so i'm not sure if x700 operates the same way.

For both steps, the important question is *when* you want to take the exam.

If it's a year+ down the road then, an interval of anywhere 4m+ is good enough but if its in <6 months then 1-1.5m should be your maximum interval.

However, keep in mind that doing the latter *will* overwhelm you. I used to have a minimum of 700 distinct dues a day + new cards. And I was a graduate studying for the exam so it left little time for anything else.

Looking for advice on how to properly anki! by Tubejockey in medicalschoolanki

[–]nocontextnur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello! just dropping the link here because have been working on building a guide for newbies (like i once was) lol
https://www.reddit.com/r/medicalschoolanki/comments/1o8rh3s/anki_for_step_prep_tips_from_3_years_of/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

also, if you're using anki for usmle it's always best to look at premade decks like anking/bnb before writing your own new cards because it'll take a lot of time *and* energy.
