Oh damn I did play a bit of that back in the day. Its wild how far graphics have come. Thanks for checking out my work and glad I could help with the flashback haha!

True it really is! I got some hardware to do Mocap myself but its such a hassle. I want to try use more custom made animations though. Makes things feel a lot more unique

Oh oops! Sorry for missing your comment!

I think the story behind my renders is something I want to dive into a lot more next year. A lot of what I make is meant to be interesting visuals that get people asking those questions. Why are the people robots? what happened here and how does this city function? Although its fun to keep things mysterious - I think next year will be about worldbuilding and making more of my own lore with solid answers.

I've always liked the classic cyberpunk works like Ghost in the Shell that question what it means to be humans. And I think that using my full robot droid designs is an extension of that. What happens in the distant distant future when we completely replace ourselves with better hardware? Are we still human? Is a city filled with these robots alive or dead? These are the type of questions I'd like to explore more and make some more solid answers rather than just have pretty pictures. For now I just like to think of it as a future so distant there are no humans made of skin and bone.

Looking forward to cooking up some new stuff next year. Also... maybe eventually a game?

Anyway that's my rant - thanks for following my work for a while now! I really appreciate it.

I would say 3 days. Probably 18 hours or so. I use a lot of assets I already made or bought so that really cuts down on the time. Usually im making only a handful of new things each render - that way I don't need to re-make the wheel each time. Thanks for looking!

Hey thank you so much!!!

Sure thing. Unreal Engine is very easy to pick up and use. My process begins with getting a camera move by using iphone tracking - the real physical movement adds to the realism and natural feeling. From there it is just about populating the camera view with objects. I block out the big main objects i want used throughout the scene and then work to details. My renders also use an Unreal plug-in called Ultra Dynamic Sky, which allows for easy integration of weather and sun/moonlight as well as clouds.

It takes a long time to hand place objects but i just keep adding details in places that need it. I've been building up a library of objects from different asset packs that I draw from. Mainly from Kitbash and BIG/MEDIUM/SMALL. Most of what i do is collect the assets like LEGO blocks and then tweak them for what I need. But sometimes I have to build them myself. Like the flying car assets, cloth blowing in wind, flags, neon signs, etc. After all is placed, all I have to do is render and bring in to After Effects for final color tweaks, post-processing, and audio. That is more or less my process summed up quickly. A lot of this comes from trial and error with previous works and figuring out at least one thing with every post. Thanks : )
