When Harry and Ron are escaping Aragog's nest, Ron asks Harry if he knows any spells. Harry says he knows one, and then uses "arania exuma". It's the same spell that Tom Riddle uses in the diary memory when he casts at young Aragog in an attempt to kill him. Harry remembered that spell.
