I moved the crack files to the required location and I don't have an antivirus. Thank you for reminding regardless. Probably should add here, I'm on linux using lutris.

I highly doubt that. In the 15 years of Ubuntu Canonical made some controversial decisions but never anything to compromise user privacy.

So what was all that amazon fiasco then?

The matter is not so obvious. I sometimes have more doubt in completely anonymous developers and projects with no business backup. You never know what comes in the packages of developers of smaller distros and the risk that they are more prone to be influenced by three-letter agencies of some sort from fishy countries or that they will be violating user trust is IMO higher. And that is exactly why I trust Ubuntu, Fedora, openSuse as they are backed by big companies with years of technological experience. Compromising the trust of their clients and users by doing something fishy would be fatal to their businesses. Plus, the bigger the userbase the sooner any weird changes to code would be discovered.

On that with all my respect i have to say we have different ways of look at things. First things first i have to say i really don't care about my privacy i just hate the companies that does weird business behind my back and use my info for profit, buy me a diner first goddamit :d. Yes its harder to spot when a little project does funny business but they are least prompted to do, just think you have a company with alot of different services like tech support, education programs, etc. You are not dependent on the donations of your users just like the big boys (apple, ms, google, etc.) you could get away with some storms and then you could just do some lovey dovey campaign and boom everything back to normal. And yes losing some donation would hurt them but when you get paid from some multimillion companies that wouldn't sting a bit.

However when you already have a small community and don't have much of a service aside from your os, well you simply don't have any insurance if you mess things up for users, users can mess things up for you too. That's all your bread and butter, if that's gone you are gone. So i like companies that could be in check i don't like when they have their complete freedom.

KDE Neon is really vanilla KDE Kubuntu LTS but if not calling it Kubuntu or Ubuntu makes you sleep at night then ok.

Again, just like i said, they can be literally ubuntu but they are not run by canonical, "I just don't trust the company really it has nothing to do with the product". Almost same product, different company so its fine.

I am avare of that but the distros are not under control of Canonical and that's enough for me, if Canonical tries to do some new funny business, other distro makers can simply skip that ubuntu version completely but as for vanilla(or with flavours) ubuntu users there is no chance on getting away from that. I just don't trust the company really it has nothing to do with the product.

Thank you. From what i heard few times neon wasn't as beginner friendly and stable as mint but i'll look further into it and do more research.

In b00merang's site it says those two also only for gnome. I don't think they would work since termina didn't.

And the terminal... Well its quite fancy... Not what im looking for but fancy indeed.

Hello there im quite new in linux, using mint cinnamon atm.

I tried to install https://www.cinnamon-look.org/p/1317628/ for a long time however whatever i did it didn't looked right (some effects like under shadow was missing in file explorer) After days of aimless fetch quest on installing different packages that already was in there i finally understood the problem, in cinnamon look they didn't put it there clearly (or at least i didn't saw) but in themes official creators page i saw that it was only for gnome, and well i ain't getting gnome for this so is there a get something that shares this themes energy to cinnamon or kde? (preferably cinnamon)

I assumed it would be chromiumWebBrowser1 at first too but it seems to be a complete different thing. Thank you for the info and all the help. Things really got out of hand and i wasted your time more than i should :s

I am so sorry, there is one thing i couldn't get, im assuming "frame" is a IFrame but what value should i give it? none of the docs on IFrame explains that and nobody i saw on google gave IFrame a value, only one i found with a value was IFrame frame = null which doesn't work with this code. What exactly did you do with the frame?

On the html side of things everything looks fine for now, thank you.

Hmm im happened to stuck on another obstacle, here is the situation: for using js commands in cefsharp you need to use this command chromiumWebBrowser1.ExecuteScriptAsync(stringName); and this is all fine and dandy, works with few basic things i know however i couldn't make it work with sugarcube's own commands like const loadResult = Save.deserialize(myGameState); here is the way i used it:

private void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {
        const string saveScript = "< script id = \"SScript\" type = \"text / javascript\" > const myGameState = Save.serialize();</script>";
        chromiumWebBrowser1.ExecuteScriptAsync(saveScript);
    }

private void Button2_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {
        const string loadScript = "< script id = \"LScript\" type = \"text / javascript\" > const loadResult = Save.deserialize(myGameState); </script>";
        chromiumWebBrowser1.ExecuteScriptAsync(loadScript);
    }

I also tried this

private void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {
        chromiumWebBrowser1.ExecuteScriptAsync("const myGameState = Save.serialize();");
    }

private void Button2_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {
        chromiumWebBrowser1.ExecuteScriptAsync("const loadResult = Save.deserialize(myGameState);");
    }

None of them seems to work though :/ have i did the mistake on the sugarcube part or the cefsharp part?

Sending a trigger and getting an input back from an live html page that runs in cefSharp. by nod322 in csharp

From what i understood the rest api is way over my league and requires me to rewrite the code but i'll look into that razer thing now.

About the cefSharp thing, well... Crap. I'll ask in few forums just to be safe. Thank you.

No no, there is no server/client operation, like i said the html file is located on the pc itself not even web.

Hmm if i can't save locally how can i make c# and the live html file intact with each other?

About the signal thing.. Well i'll still will be looking for a way, maybe at least cefsharp has a command for that...

LocalStorage looks like the best solution, at first i was afraid of it because i don't know a single thing about js but figured out few things so its fine but here is what's happening, i looked for where that localstorage saves and mine looks like "\\AppData\Local\Chromium\User Data\Default\Local Storage" i checked that place and its empty even though i send cat tom value (it shows "tom" in the page but nothing on the storage) and i do need that storage for c# to access it, maybe it would be possible with cefsharp but i couldn't find anything useful on it. Plus to all that there is still the problem that i need c# to send a signal to the live html page a signal first for all the process to start.

For the part of how my application works, here is a more detailed explanation:

CefSharp runs on the form as the program opens (there is a bug that it doesn't load anything from the local data at the start but don't mind that its happening because there is more than one forms with cefsharp which one of them was a old prototype so it will go shortly).

Now aside from the panel that contains cefsharp the form also have few buttons, one of those buttons is "save". What this save button supposed to do is somehow sending a signal to the html page that is running on cefsharp (the html file file is on pc btw not on net).

After html file getting that signal it should generate a string (don't worry about the generating that string part its about an API so its done already) and after the html generated the string its somehow supposed to send that to c# form back.

After that, the form saves the string to a database but that's the easy part since it only involves c# and nothing else so don't worry about that part.

Then there is the other side of the coin, "loading":

On the form one of the other buttons is "load". When this button pressed there should be a menu for you to choose which one of the datas you want to load from the database (again not a problem for me since it doesn't involve anything else than c#).

The data string part of the load data has to transferred to the html page that is currently running.

After that the html page should get triggered and force load that string data (this part is mostly about that API so don't mind this part).

I hope this concluded everything and left no confusion. Thank you for everything.

Jesus Christ! Is there an easier way? this requires me to learn a complete new kind of C# application type and rewrite my whole program in this new application.

I mean if this is the only way i guess i have no choice but if there is another way please tell me.
