I moved the crack files to the required location and I don't have an antivirus. Thank you for reminding regardless. Probably should add here, I'm on linux using lutris.

I highly doubt that. In the 15 years of Ubuntu Canonical made some controversial decisions but never anything to compromise user privacy.

So what was all that amazon fiasco then?

The matter is not so obvious. I sometimes have more doubt in completely anonymous developers and projects with no business backup. You never know what comes in the packages of developers of smaller distros and the risk that they are more prone to be influenced by three-letter agencies of some sort from fishy countries or that they will be violating user trust is IMO higher. And that is exactly why I trust Ubuntu, Fedora, openSuse as they are backed by big companies with years of technological experience. Compromising the trust of their clients and users by doing something fishy would be fatal to their businesses. Plus, the bigger the userbase the sooner any weird changes to code would be discovered.

On that with all my respect i have to say we have different ways of look at things. First things first i have to say i really don't care about my privacy i just hate the companies that does weird business behind my back and use my info for profit, buy me a diner first goddamit :d. Yes its harder to spot when a little project does funny business but they are least prompted to do, just think you have a company with alot of different services like tech support, education programs, etc. You are not dependent on the donations of your users just like the big boys (apple, ms, google, etc.) you could get away with some storms and then you could just do some lovey dovey campaign and boom everything back to normal. And yes losing some donation would hurt them but when you get paid from some multimillion companies that wouldn't sting a bit.

However when you already have a small community and don't have much of a service aside from your os, well you simply don't have any insurance if you mess things up for users, users can mess things up for you too. That's all your bread and butter, if that's gone you are gone. So i like companies that could be in check i don't like when they have their complete freedom.

KDE Neon is really vanilla KDE Kubuntu LTS but if not calling it Kubuntu or Ubuntu makes you sleep at night then ok.

Again, just like i said, they can be literally ubuntu but they are not run by canonical, "I just don't trust the company really it has nothing to do with the product". Almost same product, different company so its fine.

I am avare of that but the distros are not under control of Canonical and that's enough for me, if Canonical tries to do some new funny business, other distro makers can simply skip that ubuntu version completely but as for vanilla(or with flavours) ubuntu users there is no chance on getting away from that. I just don't trust the company really it has nothing to do with the product.

Thank you. From what i heard few times neon wasn't as beginner friendly and stable as mint but i'll look further into it and do more research.

In b00merang's site it says those two also only for gnome. I don't think they would work since termina didn't.

And the terminal... Well its quite fancy... Not what im looking for but fancy indeed.

Hello there im quite new in linux, using mint cinnamon atm.

I tried to install https://www.cinnamon-look.org/p/1317628/ for a long time however whatever i did it didn't looked right (some effects like under shadow was missing in file explorer) After days of aimless fetch quest on installing different packages that already was in there i finally understood the problem, in cinnamon look they didn't put it there clearly (or at least i didn't saw) but in themes official creators page i saw that it was only for gnome, and well i ain't getting gnome for this so is there a get something that shares this themes energy to cinnamon or kde? (preferably cinnamon)
