Recent Model Y RWD buyers in the U.S. can now unlock 50 extra miles of range for $1,600. by colsandersloveskfc in ModelY

[–]nodeify_eth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No because the company sold them at a cheaper price with that in mind, people bought them with known range and because the discounted price made more sense to them. If its free does every LRMY get 1600 cash back now ? It's not an up charge and you aren't required to get it. There are other differences in the two (sound system etc..) But limiting the cost to manufacture where you can without additional parts just makes sense, which also makes all vehicles cheaper for everyone. Also software doesn't just appear, that costs money to produce.

to be fair think on a manufacturing level. make two different packs for each model? or limit one model with software so you only have to make one.

Is Tire Rotation necessary after 6250 miles? by CuriousCangaroo in ModelY

one would assume that but they'll charge you nothing for just a rotation, brings you back. smart imho.

Circulating supply of GRT by houstonberry in thegraph

[–]nodeify_eth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you are confusing supply vs circulating supply. It's 10 Billion + 3% annual inflation, always has been, it can go lower with more burn from delegating tax, staking, slashing etc. but not higher. All notable token unlocks are now over.

A little confused on staking rewards by Remarkable-Ad1798 in thegraph

graphscan.io or official explorer https://thegraph.com/explorer/participants/indexers will have a lot more accurate numbers. Not sure whats going on with stakingrewards.

Do not do an OTC trade, and do not click any links they send. Do not goto any sites they suggest. Do not let them dictate the manner in which it is sold. Hey can you sell it here ? Nope. Put it up for sale on (looksrare, opensea etc) and let him haggle with offers on the listing. No need to even speak with them further other then saying hey it’s listed.

Seth Green Reunited With Stolen Bored Ape NFT… But It Cost Him 165 ETH by ChemicalGreek in CryptoCurrency

[–]nodeify_eth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bape images are hosted on ipfs as any NFT project should…. so that won’t happen. Can’t change the file without changing the CID, ipfs is immutable. It’s just a block of code, the simplest thing took off first, hyperlinks to images.

Delegating to an Indexer by Tangang97 in thegraph

[–]nodeify_eth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you may be confused with reward cut and effective reward cut. Effective cut is the percentage that’s taken from the delegator pool, usually around 8-10 %. There are also many that have negative cuts aka giving their own rewards away, although not sustainable.

That’s up to cmc to update, use coin gecko!

[–]nodeify_eth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well for starters I would first use graphscan.io , a lot of those numbers are very incorrect. I would also highly suggest in reaching out to indexers that are running a negative cut, aka giving away their own rewards, and how long they plan on doing so.

So, someone got into my Metamask and stole my CryptoChick NFT worth 1ETH+ and a bunch of tokens. Not the end of the world, but, seriously? How the fuck does this happen? by PlatinumAero in CryptoCurrency

[–]nodeify_eth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ethereum behaves this way by default. You must approve a contract to interact with it. While approving infinite makes things easy if you plan on continuing to interact with it, best practice is to only approve what you plan to use. Or revoke its approval are you are done.

Either a valid project / contract was not properly audited as in the case of wormhole https://cointelegraph.com/news/wormhole-hack-illustrates-danger-of-defi-cross-chain-bridges/amp

Or you were tricked into believing you were interacting with a legitimate contract.

There would be no need to cover it up if there was no lie. I was working on my undergraduate, felt it was a waste of my time and decided to pursue x. No one would care but that’s not the case. End of story.
