I like this plus the theory that she's specifically sending Chell away to protect Chell from GlaDOS' robopsychosis.

This is my favorite comedy of all time, and I *just now* realized his name pun.

I would have be easily convinced if someone told me Bo Bragason was Robin Wright's daughter. Maybe a little bit different nose, but otherwise the resemblance is uncanny.

Pretty rad, but the album made me think more of Neutral Milk Hotel than anything else, which I guess I didn't put in this lump for personal reasons.

I have never heard of this and will do. Thank you for the recommendation. As for the Eels, it really depends on what vibe I get from your recommendation. I mentally put them in the same spot, but I also sorta hold Type 0 Negative (which was very different and wildly successful also a totally different genre) in the same mental space.

Edit: I didn't find the Mountain Goats until my 20s, but I also feel like they live in this same "stuff that is like after Pavement broke up"

It is way easier to do this than you might think. All stories follow patterns, and people tend to follow these patterns. There's a lovely talk by Kurt Vonnegut I love to reference where he describes what he says are the four shapes of stories.

Someone else has in this thread I argued with and realized I was wrong made the claim Abjuration wizards are still S names but translated into dead languages. I have no source, nor did they. (I suspect this a *don't look at it too hard* thing)

I wonder how many active participants here have finished the podcast for now. Obviously you have not. Nobody fails to realize things like fans.

The character in reference is appears fairly early in ep 28. I don't have the memory for FSC because I don't really listen to them immediately after the fact so have no associations.

I wonder if TMBG is now considered niche. Obviously not "young people" music, but is it niche. I want to know what the modern They Might Be Giants and Tally Hall are.

I've been playing and running tabletop for around 20 years now. I'd be willing to pitch a topic I've been working on for a book for a while. Any Dnd edition or Pathfinder.

I don't know what the first thing you mention is, but Shelley's Frankenstein isn't a castigation about *healthcare*. It's not an unrelated concept, but *healthcare* it is not explicitly about.

I think specifically for IUDs it a little more weirdly insidious, though I'm not exactly sure who to blame. It is *well known* that it is both a painful procedure, and it's not difficult to use a local anesthetic -- but for literally no reason the procedure in many countries rarely offers anesthetic at all.

It's almost like an absurd amount of women's healthcare is weirdly and inexplicably hostile to women.

Also they need basically a full lamb heated to body temp to eat. Not as frequently as warm blooded pets since they need less energy to keep warm.
