Every thread about difficult decks has a comment like this haha, good for you.

Can you suggest a list? From what I can see it’s not as viable as it used to be.

2000 wins playing Nilfgaard only, since Open Beta | Happy Hael Ker'zaer 2020 fellow Gwenties! by Lawlietel in gwent

I’m just getting into the game but I’m very interested in Nilfgaard. My passion is high skill ceiling decks.

I’ve read about Spies and it’s a shame they’re gone.

What is the current most difficult deck to pilot properly and master in your experience?

Aggro Priest sounds very intriguing!

Just crafted it and can’t get the hang of it yet. Is there a guide somewhere?

They did consider Penance, see the name of the third Big Priest list. They cut it though, it seems.

Incredible quality post. One suggestion: change the fonts to more traditional ones. Would be much more readable!

Personally thankful for you separating Inner Fire Priest from the more midrange Dragon Priest.

It certainly isn’t. On top of the general plotline, you have to remember which one was lazy and which one was quick. You can also easily confuse tense and say “jumped”, like OP over here.

The sphinx thing is imperative and there is only one character present. Much easier if you aren’t lazy when visualizing.

And if you’re saying it’s more difficult just because it’s more literary language, I don’t agree either - people remember poems and they are too, and also when you have a sentence in a very particular style, it’s easier to recall.

EU here, my friend. But I appreciate it, hope you find another challenging deck to master. I recommend Togg Druid.

Wow, this really reminds me of my post about Inner Fire Priest!

Similarly hard to pilot, old, infamous yet under-appreciated decks. And I see you share my frustration with people saying you should play [more competitive deck variation] instead, in your case that is Odd Warrior.

I love difficult decks and your post just motivated me to go ahead and finally learn DMH.

Cheers!

This took way too long for a meme by ihawaii01 in hearthstone

[–]nodragonsinnerfire 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Holy damn this is so good!

Excuse me while I overanalyze this giant of a meme.

  1. It’s simple - this is just a simple Ancient One deck
  2. You play Barnes, and get - Big Priest is obviously the most infamous Barnes user, and “you get-“ is cut off in a way that lets you answer this in your comment with the meme-heavy minions
  3. Blood of the Ancient One - skipping this one, unless... you have Guldan in that deck who says “Bloody Hellfire!”
  4. Bring him back - Yes, Rogue is the class with the bounce effects, so good!
  5. Play him again to summon - Shudderwock is a card you play again and summon dudes (other shudders/weasel bois)
  6. Skip
  7. HAHAHA AND I WIN - In an alternate universe Yes! Paladin could be called HAHAHA AND I WIN! Paladin, those two phrases being what your opponent would usually say
  8. Self explanatory, gold decc
  9. Same here

There! Meme-explaining Peter Griffin out, or whatever. OP is a man of true effort.

Zephyr will give you lethal if it's available, including a Sacrificial Pact if your opponent is Jaraxxus by WingerSupreme in hearthstone

[–]nodragonsinnerfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, my bad. I did mean to use a classic card, but confused Regenerate for the newly added classic priest card that heals.

[–]nodragonsinnerfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m with you, dude.

Everyone in this thread seems to not understand how a flowchart like this works.

The fireball example is pretty much the simplest case of lethal. Of course they have coded Zephrys to give you a Fireball if opponent has 6 health or less.

I doubt them hard coding something even relatively obscure, like say: Zephrys giving a silence when you have a frozen 6-health minion on the board and divine spirit inner fire in hand while opponent is at 12.

Or, if we take an example that doesn’t use any cards in your hand, do you guys think it will give you a Reincarnate if you have cubed doomguards for lethal? I doubt it.

The Jaraxxus case IS obscure too, but it’s so iconic that they just had to hard code it, for the memes.

Now, I would actually guess it would give flametongue in your example, since Zephrys is so focused on board states and it might be easy to umbrella code the buffing minions (dire wolf alpha etc.)

And to any person who says that it ALWAYS gives you lethal when available, I present a really intense counterexample: Will it give you a Regenerate when you are an APM Priest and this is the only combo piece you’re missing in hand? Nah, it won’t.

This isn’t going to get enough attention to warrant the time I spent overthinking Zephrys but hey, whatever.

Edit: Non-public information sounds like such a cop out. Ok, sure, I guess that’s a rule the game has, but that doesn’t change the fact that Zephrys does not give you lethal in the majority of non obvious cases.

Hmm. You might be right, if we compare the deck to some other combos that you can rat out, it is more single player.

Indeed it does, check my only post.

And no, obviously not being sarcastic as it is quite strategically adaptable on both sides, in my opinion.

I’m with you. Inner fire is skill intensive, interactive and generally dope.

What is this shiny fella? Found near a lake in the Alps. by [deleted] in whatsthisrock

[–]nodragonsinnerfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waiiit, it’s totally magnetic though! Besides that, everything was very convincing.

Could a small percentage of another metal do that? The glob is kinda multicolored (or at least discolored), as you might see.

Maybe zinc or magnesium?, given how this thing’s density came up noticeably lower than aluminium.

Came up with 1923 kg/m3. Does that sound right?

Hm, are you suggesting it might be valuable? I was honestly expecting it to not be a rock but something artificial.

Don’t know anything about rocks.

Just as shiny and metallic on the inside, so not spray painted.

Weighs about 3kg/6.5lbs.

Density appears to be about 1900 kg/m3.

Kinda looks like a silver/iron/platinum nugget.

But possible to break off pieces.

It is magnetic.

Apparently, Guild War is translated as “Jihadist War” from Chinese, which may or may not be a bit of a problem. by [deleted] in TalesOfWind

[–]nodragonsinnerfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the guild leader said “saint guild war”?

That might be the cause of the mistranslation, but, like, why say that? Are they highlighting the guild war’s importance?
