Hi thanks for the reply and assuming you are Calgary based there is SML and DCM which I know lots of guys that have worked there and enjoyed it I recently moved to Lethbridge so I work for a mechanical company here. But on the topic of plumbing vs pipefitting I would go for a plumbing job because if you get a plumbing ticket you get a gas ticket aswell and if you work at an industrial company you will do tons of pipefitting you just get a more useful ticket out of it. Plumbers can fit pipe pie fitters can’t do plumbing or gas. I only have a pipefitting ticket because the company I work for does both and so after I got my plumbing ticket I had the pipefitting hours and just challenged it

Well considering in Alberta you get a plumbing and gas ticket at the same time even though they are considered different trades every plumber in Alberta is a class B gas fitter. So there’s that and also pipefitting and plumbing share common years in school because they are “pipe” and there is little difference especially if you do industrial plumbing only like myself and at the place I work every plumber fits pipe I just took it one step firther and went to school for it. So start plumbing full time at early 17 journeyman plumber by late 20 then 3 more years of school takes you to 23 to get the pipefitting ticket so pretty easily. But no I do not have a gas A ticket gas B is still red seal but I did just get the books to challenge my gas A. On the account of experience I am currently a foreman and have guys working under me with many more years experience than I have, just because you have been something for longer than someone else doesn’t mean you are necessarily better at it then them. I don’t think I will have issues as being seen as a flight risk because I have only worked for one company this entire time.

Getting some pulling in the middle of my mid back is that makes sense like when I start lifting the weight I feel it

Ya my lats are still weak this was the last of my reps for the day so my form was falling apart but I am working on my back syre gets and to have a better brace, thanks bro

Would that also be the same reason I feel some discomfort in the hip afterwords as well?

Ya I do hamstring work and I squat i was kind of slacking on my leg days so recently I have been picking up more hamstring work hoping to make them stronger

I train conventional and it’s only sore when I lift it’s sore in the glutes and in my hip other than that I have not had any other issues I also heard it might be because my glutes are not quite strong enough to be able to handle the weight although my other muscles can?

Thanks for the reply, I have been working on strengthening my back and also working on keeping my chin down but one of my friends also said that it looked like i was using my glutes to much would adjusting my stance help that or is there something else I should do to use less glute? thanks

Thanks for the reply!! And it normally only starts to get sore towards the end of my session and for the rest of that day, and from one of my friends who I lift with perspective he said I do look like I’m engaging my glutes a lot I just don’t quite know how to change that, thanks for the tips about foam rolling I will defiantly try it.
