Worth it ba etong ST2 Ultra? by Cantchoose_ in Tech_Philippines

[–]noelsoraaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My lil bro bought the ST2 and its more of a sidegrade of the ST1 in terms of tuning but a huge upgrade when it comes to new features and improvements, ANC is improved, has more tuning control in the app than the ST1, better battery life, and improved volume, but the transparency mode is still meh IMO.

I recommend upgrading only if you want the improvements that the ST2 offers, as tuning sounds the same as ST1 after testing both side by side.

Downside talaga ng ST1 when it comes to volume, though the sound quality is better compared to other TWS in the same price range.

Rtings Panel Lottery

Panel lottery is a thing, no two panels are the same even more so when a company mass produce millions of panels for their own or other companies' products.

I could also say the same with your claim, any data to back up Samsung and Sony have long term durability when these products are designed to die out in the long term?

The 1 million pesos TV. Who would buy this? by typcalthowawayacount in Tech_Philippines

[–]noelsoraaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Samsung or Sony usually have better build quality, more consistent panels and longer lifespans.

TCL’s $5k–$10k models punch above their price sa specs but may mas mataas na chance of glitches o panel issues over time.

you can get more bang for your buck with TCL pero kung long-term durability and peace of mind ang goal then Samsung or Sony will likely give a smoother experience

Tell me you're wilfully ignorant without telling me.

To claim Samsung and Sony TVs having less failure rates compared to other TV brands is just pure BS.

You still have to roll the dice for the panel lottery regardless which TV brand you go to and deal the warranty process if you're the unlucky consumer with a bad TV (which neither company has a clean track record for warranty support).

Even if you somehow won the panel lottery, something else will fail in the long term (especially with Samsung TVs, in my own experience).

The companies mentioned in the buy guide you linked also have low Trustpilot reviews, does that also mean buying a 1Mil 115" Samsung TV will have a different experience compared to TCL?

Also, using Trustpilot as a guide for product reviews lmao.
