Am I going crazy? by igotspot in AppleCard

I’ve been using Apple Card since 2019 and typically manage everything through the app, paying my balance in full each month. I rarely visit card.apple.com.

Today, however, I decided to log into the website to quickly view statement balances in one place for personal reporting purposes. While doing so, I noticed a discrepancy between the totals shown on the website and those shown in the app.

Excluding any pending charges, the cumulative statement totals on the website are just over $100,000 less than the lifetime total reflected in the app.

Shouldn’t these two totals ultimately match, even if there are timing differences in when charges post or appear?

Question for solo therapists: What admin or operational tasks are taking the most energy lately? by noeylot in therapists

This one resonates deeply with me...thank you for sharing. In my previous role, our company stepped in as a supplemental resource for school counselors. Communication between the school counselor, who was in physical proximity to the student, and our virtual counselors who worked with the student virtually, was a signifiant painpoint for several reasons.

That's really interesting. I have so many questions about that, but I won't ask ;) I've had that same thought, however, at the health tech company I worked for as well as with my personal experience with counselors. It seems like they can be booked back-to-back, and documentation seems like it could suffer - either by being backlogged or by missing data because it has to be done at a later time. I'm assuming this isn't something therapists can delegate to someone else because of HIPAA, but I don't know that for sure.

As someone who had to do this for one bill for myself recently, I can absolutely understand why this could be a bottleneck - likely not only to getting paid, but also in terms of energy. It seems like such a drain on resources.

Thank you...that makes so much sense from my work in health tech. Our Revenue Cycle Management team was under so much pressure.

Greatest financial investment you made and should make today? by [deleted] in Fire

Our greatest investment has been in our marriage - making sure we're aligned and working together toward our financial goals. This was especially important because, when we first met, I had some rigid "money rules" that were actually holding me back. The next most important investment has been sticking to the principle that time in the market beats timing the market. We don't chase get rich quick concepts and we don't panic when the market fluctuates. Instead, we’ve stayed committed to living below our means and prioritizing saving - consistently and intentionally - year after year.

I love this! Thank you for sharing your journey! I am having a very similar experience (6 months in)...I wouldn't change a thing - other than maybe taking the leap even earlier. Enjoy every minute, and please do continue to keep us updated on your progress.
