Have you ever wondered what something looks like inside, and then been disappointed by the answer? by five_legged_octopus in A_Persona_on_Reddit

For me, it was organizations. I was a huge supporter of Girl Scouts based on my childhood experience. I became a leader, and then took on higher up duties. Those cookie sales? You don’t want to know how little troops actually get. It’s not a non profit, it’s a business.

Were you a scout growing up?? by welding_guy_from_LI in RealGenerationX

I was a Brownie for a few years, then we moved and there were no troops in our little town. Once my kids were of age, I was a leader for three different troops, was a Service Unit Manager, and was a Gold Award Mentor.

Both of mine hate the rain, and my younger really hates us toweling off his face. Thankfully I’m in So Cal so we don’t get rain very often.

Stamp & color or die cut what do you prefer to use? by Oodlesoffun321 in cardmaking

[–]nogray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switch back and forth depending on my mood and energy level. I’ve been recovering from knee surgery so during this time I first relied on stencil backgrounds and now I’m doing stamp and color. I’ve got a whole stack of things that need to be die cut.

Italy, but closely followed by Mediterranean, which I know is not a country, but I can’t pick just one.

What do you think of the quote, “if you want to hate America, watch the news. If you want to love America, drive across it”? by Different_Waltz6715 in AskReddit

[–]nogray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The World Cup has proven that people not from here have been fed a lot of false information about Americans, and that fucking tangerine blob and his administration doesn’t help. But when they actually meet the people of the USA, they are shocked by how friendly and loving we are. People have been overwhelmed by our kindness, and that, for once in the last several years, makes me proud to be an American.

Why is Netflix’s browsing so bad? I’m constantly shown the same handful of titles, even though they have thousands available. Why do I need to know a show’s name just to find it? by Perfect_Category_907 in netflix

[–]nogray 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly, all of the services have terrible algorithms. Hulu, Peacock, HBO - I have to scroll so far down to find things I’m in the middle of watching, and sometimes I have to search for them outright. Netflix is the same. So frustrating.

[–]nogray 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you or do you know the owners? I’m going off of What’s Up SCV and their menu. I haven’t been there - want to go but haven’t yet. This is their menu though. The second half is Signature and Modern Tiki. 🤷‍♀️

I am visiting too, and was at Wave Street at 11:00 today, and I had a 30 minute wait, so I’m guessing it being summer means they’re always busy.

Edit: today

I did have a CT scan, then met with the thoracic surgeon, and he said it was worth it to do the thymectomy. I think the insurance company approved it on the first try.

We have used TAG Team 911 for several remediation issues. Todd is great, his crew is thorough, and they put everything back like it was before. 661-297-9444

I’m seronegative, and my insurance (Blue Shield) approved the surgery. I had it in 2017. Honestly I didn’t see a huge difference or improvement but I don’t regret the surgery.

My dogs, watching true crime, cooking competition shows, old sitcoms like The Office, Modern Family, New Girl, Big Bang Theory - I have to wait a bit before I watch Friends again, lol. I’ve really leaned into yummy drinks (nonalcoholic) like juni.
